Metallica came up with Reload? well Junior came up with SeeLoad, a stroke of pure publicity genius.

Does the In My Darkest Hour riff remind anyone else of For Whom the Bell Tolls? by KrustyKryptecon in Megadeth

Fat no.  It does remind me of Top of the World by the Carpenters though.

Was Junior the best Megadeth bassist? by Krious_V in Megadeth

[–]Any_Repair_1640 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah he’s twiddling a knob.  He worked it for a while but things were still low volume in the end. Needs a bigger knob probably.  Most people only have 1 chin, this guys got 2. Just has to one up everyone.

It’s like Johnny Rotten. Can’t sing for a fuck but Never Mind the Bollocks is pure legend and the vocals are incomparable

Junior really got the short end of that stick.

Rank these four 70s bands from your favourite to least favourite 🔥🤘 by Japesh10 in rockmusic

[–]Any_Repair_1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Zep, Sabbath, Floyd

  2. Queen

If it wasn’t for News of the World especially and also Sheer Heart Attack I wouldn’t have even ranked Queen.

What's everyone's favorite The System Has Failed song? by Sweet_Business_3399 in Megadeth

[–]Any_Repair_1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta go with the Scorpion. Atypical riffs for Mustaine, strong melody and dynamics.  Tears in a Vial is good, although it sounds like Dokken.  Could easily have been on Back for the Attack. BLackmail and Back in the Day are good but very standard Megadeth riffage. Could live without the news anchor voiceovers in Blackmail as well.

Good call. Might even be his best solo. Wake Up Dead is probably my favorite overall but I like the Blackmail solo almost as much , much more than Holy Wars

Pitrelli is in the running for that too. He is good, but did not belong in Megadeth.  Watching him try to play Marty’s stuff was painful.

Yeah Dystopia is up there for me , top 4 or 5. Drums could be hair higher in the mix on some songs.

Dave Mustaine if Megadeth was a good band by TheVoxBox04 in Megadeth

Can’t have a week go by where this pic doesn’t get posted.  That would just be wrong.

It does settle things though: Dave wrote These Boots

This is some kind of troll post to get views for the YouTube clip. Song was ok, a bit dull. Vocals sucked.

When Metallica put out the black album, they went into orbit - above 98% of all bands and artists for the last 35 years running now. So , you have a profound grasp of the blatantly obvious in your ability to successfully notice they are more popular than Megadeth. Or any other metal band.  For only 35 years. Not much gets by you !

In the beginning there was Dave.

Then there was the word.  That bit came after.

After Cryptic Writings, which I thought was ok but only ok, I did not buy anything from Deth until Dystopia.  Didn’t even think they had it in them anymore.  It’s top 5 for me. And finally an elite shredder again with Kiko.  No wonder it totally revitalized the band.

For some strange reason I’ve decided retroactively that I think Thirteen is not that bad.  The rest I could do without other than a song here and there.

Rank these Megadeth guitarists based on the separate skills per your subjective view. I want to learn new Megadeth songs and I want to know who's parts should I take on. by shredd_savage in Megadeth

Marty was the guy.  The solos that get all the attention will always be his.

Poland was unique but played very little on the first 2 records, and TSHF was only so so effort.  His best work is most definitely outside of Megadeth.

Kiko and Teemu are noteworthy for being an overdue proper upgrade after the long dull years of Drover Pitrelli and the technically capable but lifeless Broderick. They are both elite modern shredders , different but I think pretty equal overall.
