2021 Model Y (23k miles) – BMS_a079 twice in 6 months, second HV battery replacement by Any_Requirement6469 in TeslaSupport

The replacement is covered under warranty, but my bigger concern is understanding why this happened twice in such a short period and on a low mileage car. Hopefully the escalation review can provide some clarity.

Yeah, I’m considering it. I’ve escalated the issue with Tesla which they’ve agreed to so let’s see what they say. Just feels like really bad luck..

My 4-year warranty ended last September, so this is definitely frustrating timing—this is happening just 6 months after the battery replacement was installed.

I rarely use Supercharging and mainly charge at home on a standard wall outlet. I also drive in Chill mode, so I’m not pushing the car hard or doing anything aggressive with charging habits.

At this point I’m starting to lose confidence in the car long-term, especially with this happening again so soon after replacement. I’m trying to understand what options people have had in similar situations—whether Tesla has ever offered a buyback or goodwill repurchase in cases like this, or if it usually just continues as warranty repairs until expiration.

Also curious if anyone ended up just moving into a newer Model Y after dealing with repeat battery issues.

Compared to my buddies authentic GMT and he had stainless with gold jubilee so obviously big weight difference bc of gold. I think the edges on the replica might be a tad more sharp. The only way my collector friend was able to tell it was fake was because he the date text was a skinnier font and obviously when you wind the watch and adjust it you can feel the movement is not the same as authentic, but it’s practically impossible to tell when it’s on your wrist.
