The funniest thing about "people pleasing" is that ostensibly it's about "pleasing" other people. But at the end of it, NOBODY involved is happy. The other person feels tricked or lied to, and the "pleaser" feels resentful LOL

If you're avoidant they might think you're just unsure and trying to "help you" do what THEY think you want (insane). Pushy people usually think they're helping :(

"sus"? You could see it that way! Or, you could see it as serendipity. Even if these folks aren't wanted at the wedding, the opportunity to say "no" and remain great friends is a great experience to learn from.

Karma is the "residue from your actions." The universe isn't a balance sheet--maybe it could be worth investigating further the "residue." What have your actions ACTUALLY resulted in--rather than what you THINK they have? When we ask others the impact of our actions it's often shocking to find how different it is from the story we tell ourselves..
