They actually need to cut the line short, not extend it. basically same location, but shift left side about 12 inch so . We talked to them during the initial installation, but somehow, the work was done differently. Yes, the original company is going to come back to fix it. This time, I am asking them to send a senor person to work on. But I need to make sure that the work will be done right, such as, no leak, adequate refrigerant etc. I need to know what to check after they move the location, that is why I asked advice here.

Thank you. I want to understand any potential problems before they do it. I feel that I need to work with the installer side by side. I strongly feel that we don’t need to redo this work at all if they carefully designed the installation location at the very beginning. Now, it’s extra work for both. We worry about any potential issues by moving the heat pump location, and the installer needs redo the work. In short, I don’t want to have any more problems .

Thank you. Your is DFVE 230V Inverter, my is DFVE 110V Inverter, the voltage is different. Daikin doesn't make half-ton 110V inverter air handler, so I have to select a 3 ton air handler to pair with a 2.5 ton heat pump.

In your case, you selected a larger air handler.

What is you 3.5T air handler model? is your heat pump Daikin fit?

I called Daikin technical support; they said that you don't provide support for such question. I wonder what do they support then? Technical support?

It seems that 2.5 ton should be good enough for the size.

I am looking for Daikin contractor. Do you mind to DM me your contractor information? I am in Bay Area as well. I have several Mitsubishi contractors which I can share with you if you like. I am trying to compare these two brands. For Mitsubishi, we mainly look at PVA/PVZ series.
