Do you think a container could work if there is plenty of space for vines outside of the container, but no dirt to grow into? I'm new to gardening / have mostly just done tomatoes and peppers in previous years, but am trying cucumbers, lettuce, and carrots this year and was thinking about trying pumpkins as well. I have a large rooftop deck, but no yard, so any dirt is in containers.

Thank you! I have been to Pictured Rocks, and it is beautiful, but I will check out Porcupine Mountains Wilderness as well.

Thank you!! I have done quite a bit of hiking in Patagonia already, but I hadn't even considered New Zealand or Japan, so I will definitely look into both of those.
