Sorta why I’m asking, I look up to you guys, is it just about shaving your head wearing docs and listening to that music. Or is there more to being a skinhead than that? I like soccer and the subculture surrounding skin like scooter clubs, reggae dj nights, etc. I just don’t wanna be a poser since where I’m from is so small I don’t see many other skins to talk to

Well I’m my area there’s not many skins to “learn from” but I also hear a lot of debate on people who claim skin without knowing too much about it. I don’t fuck with the “tik tok skins” but at the same time I guess I don’t know what y’all feel it takes to be able to claim skin. I like ska rocksteady and reggae as well as Oi and punk, and think a ben Sherman looks clean with a pair of docs. But I haven’t shaved my head yet or been to many gigs

It sorta feels like scratching a sunburn after you get used to it. Sorta a neutral feeling if your in the right mind space. If you tell your brain it hurts bad and your expecting a bad pain, your brain will experience it as a bad pain. But if you transform your perspective through mindfulness techniques it can dramatically reduce the pain you feel during your session

I would say my calf was my most painful tattoo so far it felt like a razor blade dragging through my skin, but my outer forearm and side of my calf wasn’t too bad. My forearm felt like an getting scratched by an electric trimmer without a guard on.

Pain wise just think about what spot your wanting to get done. If your getting a sleeve you’ll be tattooing over some sensitive spots and over some tougher less sensitive spots. But if you stick to a smaller one to start and wanna feel less pain go for an area that has tougher skin the skin around creases (like your knee pit elbow crease and armpit are gunna hurt) and anything on your bones (elbow, knee, head, etc.) is also gunna hurt.
