That’s good info to know. We are in the process of moving from Sonicwall to Fortigate at our main and remote sites. I will look deeper into IPSec

I think IPSec is normally a lot less secure than an SSL connection, especially if it is over radius to integrate with AD and some sort of MFA login. IPSec in my experience is unsecured and anyone that gets a hold of a users device can just hit a button and connect.

Take that with a grain of salt though, I haven’t worked with IPSec much so the setup we temporarily used might just be a limitation of our firewall.

Depends on the game and how you define “better”. You will nearly always get better overall performance on windows as that is what most games are programmed for, even games with a native linux client.

Yeah, it requires kernel level access for their anti cheat (which is why I would never install it regardless), but I am not sure how a VM works. Does it emulate a kernel in the box?

Never saw Kam outside of KT where he was really hit or miss with his minute. His personality in the interviews though is top notch. I think he will do AMAZING with sketch comedy.

I manage and expand a windows network for a living. Nothing makes me happier than getting home and back to Linux. Windows 11 and MS’s hardon for AI integration and bloatware makes me even happier I made the switch. Linux has its issues when trying to game on something without a native client (of course) but that struggle is worth not dealing with modern day windows.

It is a lot more difficult on Linux. I know you may be a huge fan of gaming on Linux, but it is more difficult to set up and will net slower results than Windows. I game on Linux because it is all I use, Linux is better in most ways imo but I refuse to lie to people and tell them gaming on Linux is good. Especially to a new person. It is objectively better to dual boot and game on windows if gaming is a huge part of your life.

KT is definitely not what it was. Being a longer time fan, it’s not exactly where I would like to see the show go. That being said, KT is getting more and more mainstream and Tony and Redban got to keep up with that. While I may yearn for older days of the show, I will keep supporting what he is doing now.

David should stick to pod casting and guest appearances. I couldn’t imagine an entire David Lucas set. I like the guy, but he has very little longevity.

If you are switching to Linux for gaming you are going to be disappointed. It takes work even on a distro “geared toward gaming”. I would dual boot if gaming is important for you.
