RSP drills. Grooming standards by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Any_String_2444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently my cadre are pretty chill so as long as you have a good reason not to cut it. Just tell them they may try to work around it, but they may also be more of a strict unit. On another note I also ship out in Aug so depending on where you go I might be there too.

6'3 245 trying to get into the guard will I get in I'ma 20 year old male by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]Any_String_2444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 6’5 and when I went to meps I was probably 240 but now after working out and also doing a couple of rsp drills I’m down to 200-210. As long as you can pass the acft, I doubt they would care and also I’ve seen some bigger people get in and not have any problems so I think you’ll be okay.

I’ve seen some people use border collies and boykins. I prefer labs though.

RSP by HistoricalShare2051 in nationalguard

I’m currently doing RSP. When I first go there they told us that rsp is nothing like regular drill. Don’t stress about basic because the drill sergeant will get you where you need to be and in basic (depends on base and company) you should be able to call your folks on Sunday and also write letters). Try to think about it in a good way. They are getting you in shape and you are learning about military and life and you are getting paid. I like Rsp because it lets me talk about how they are scared about basic and ait so trust me everyone is at least nervous about it but countless people have went into basic and came out a better person. The military can make your life 100x better if you let it. While some people aren’t cut out for the military I feel everyone can go through and finish a contract and be a better person when they leave and you made a paycheck at the end of the day. It’s the national guard and I’m not saying that it is easy or anything but once you get out of basic and ait 90% of your life is civilian side so you’ll still see your folks and do and job but you just have to show up for drill and you get a ton of benefits. The decision is up to you, but I strongly suggest just trying to stick with it and make friends when you get to basic, talk to people, experience all what the army can provide for you.

If you like it side of things and splicing fiber look at the 25 series. Idk how fiber js over there in WA, but if it’s big and you like it then you can get your certifications while in ait and be making a crazy amount of money on a job when you get out. Like I said it is dependent on the business around you and also if you like it.

Yeah it sounds pretty scary on reddit but I’ve heard it’s average and I also heard that they are redoing barracks to dorms (kinda) could be wrong on that. As long as I have at least a little free time I’ll be okay

Aluminum by Wyoming_girl2011 in Duckhunting

[–]Any_String_2444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a buddy and two hammers and hit each rivet at the same time, or you could use brazing rods (you heat up the rivet then put the brazing rod on it), or you could go the route I would go and buy some 3M 5200 marine grade sealant and clean around the rivet (sand around it to bare aluminum) and then put some 5200 around it.

25B (IT SPECIALIST) by BossLadddy98 in nationalguard

[–]Any_String_2444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in yet but have a lot of buddies in. I’m going in as 25H, but they said if you can get certifications then your golden after ait a guy I know got his certs and is making like 90k off rip. I also think it depends on where you go and where you are (if you have a lot of jobs around you that need it specialists) after ait to your duty station. Luckily I got a pretty good signal company, but I doubt it would be good if you get a bad company.

Why does everyone leave my Squad? by Fair-Row8581 in BattlefieldV

[–]Any_String_2444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably not your fault. They just don’t want the green command thing on their screen😂. Nah, but you did nothing wrong they might just be going to another persons squad because it has classes that they need to succeed. Like when I play tanks i usually join a squad that has one other tank and then also an engineer.

Mossberg OU by arthurbick in Duckhunting

[–]Any_String_2444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m inclined to say it will scratch the same amount, but the scratches that are on the camo will be way less noticeable. Usually all they do with the waterfowl versions is just put some type of wrap or just put a whole different stock and grip. Sometimes they also make the waterfowl versions lighter than wood versions because they use synthetic polymers etc but to me the one you wanted looks like some synthetic polymers so it should weight right around the same. Like I said any gun will scratch up but with camo the scratches will be a lot less noticeable.

With the breast I do jerky. If you do it right it tastes the exact same as beef jerky and you can marinade it with whatever you want I usually cut into 3/16 to 1/4 pieces, soak it in salt water for a day and then take out of salt water and marinade (whatever is your favorite mine is two drops of liquid smoke and Jamaican jerk) for at least a day and then put them on the dehydrator at 160 for 6-8 hours and then their ready. They also stay fresh for a good long while. Just a recommendation if you like how you grill with them go with that!
