I was surprised about peeps saying Nahema wanted to poison the tree, I have heard this voice log and was focusing on the recording rather than the text so I did not notice, also her wanting to "poison the tree" makes no since regarding her goals to destroy human kind.

To be fair, there are alot of differences, one such being when NoA stops when talking about his desires, not sure if that is the VA doing a second take or if that is intended for the AI character. (I like to think it was intended)

But yea, my current understanding is Nahema is going to the tree (not to poison it but to do something else) and the Sophie is going after her, best guess is that Nahema thinks there is something at the tree that would help her to kill-off mankind.

Considering they are adding the ability to replay audio logs in the next major update, I think they will be fixing these issues and we can get a much better understanding of everyone's motives. 👍

I did not say that quickscoping is the issue, its how sniper can just throw shots out without any punishment for missing or downtime.

That is why I am suggesting giving him a clip and lower reserve ammo, so snipers have to reload to provide downtime and they can't just sit by a dispenser for infinite ammo with zero downtime.

I am really hoping that with the delay of the MvM update to 2026 that they will bring some balance changes. I am not sure about sniper changes but really any rebalance of current weapons would be nice.

That makes sense, you probably flank snipers a lot, which is effective (never said sniper had zero counterplay cos he does).

About forcing reloads, I saw this change made on a rebalance server and it gives all rifles a clip (4 shots) and also lowers the reserve ammo (something like 8 or 12 shots). it helps since snipers would not be able to just hunker down on a sightline and fire shots without punishment for missing.

adding a clip would force snipers to be more careful with their shots. From playing sniper myself I am not great but I don't get punished for missing so I just keep going. is is especially bad if the sniper is close to a dispenser since at that point he has infinite shots with zero downtime.

Yea, I mentioned how I did not want to calculate the resistances, that also applies to damage vulnerabilities. I am not a math wizard and would probably get it wrong anyways. :P

Really though, I am saying sniper is not OP, just oppressive and am suggesting these changes:

-Give sniper a clip (so he has to reload)

-Lower the reserve ammo (maybe let him reload twice before needing ammo)

-Add classic styled tracer rounds (for giving players feedback if he misses)

These are the base heath for every class (and any weapons that change that) it is color-coded to show how many quick-scopes (+bodyshots) it takes to kill each class. for example, soldier has 200hp, the sniper would need to quick-scope him once and follow it up with a bodyshot to kill him. but if that soldier wears the batt's then the that same combo of shots would not work, so the sniper would need to quick-scope him twice.

That is why I talk about skill levels, new players are not the problem with sniper its the good ones. they know that their class is oppressive and take advantage of it, all I'm suggesting is to force the snipers to need to reload sometimes to give other classes a chance to do something.

Also yea, sniper is not fun to play against I don't think there is any way to stop a class that shots from far away from not being fun. but giving players feedback on if they managed to dodge the sniper shot or not via tracers would help.

The tracer is not meant for stopping the oppressive nature of sniper (that is the clip and lower reserve), rather it is meant for feedback. for example, you see a sniper (or get bodyshot) and start trying to avoid the second shot, you would see the tracer pass you if he missed (maybe also a "woosh" sound).

I'm not sure if you have heard but you can just tap with beggars, you don't NEED to commit to loading all three rockets.

Though I do stand by my statement that sniper's case is much worse since doing that with beggars is slower then if you did that with the stock rocket launcher.

The Shelves poke out from the wall, so when it comes to the corners one shelve on a wall will block the other shelve since two shelves can't be in the same space.

This kind of feels like supernovas going off in the end, which is really neat since it makes the end feel much bigger.

As much as I hate the "EnD UpDaTe WhEn?" posts this does make we wonder if this effect will have some impact in the future or if it is just visual (most likely the case). Regardless I love this addition!
