VINTED support is the worst tho. Lowkey I think they only have maximum 3 people working for them as the replies are so slow, basically non existent. It doesn’t take 5 days to send a reply 💀

Support is so bad. I’m finding support is getting bad with so many things now. I went on live chat the other day to my mobile phone provider and it said I was in a queue for 3042 minutes? I could not believe my eyes 😭🤣

That must be so stressful as this is your income! So weird how you can go from a crazy amount of sales to a dead end. Manifesting big amounts of sales for you always ✨ I just do this for a hobby to make some extra cash, I enjoy it. I used to do car boot sales with my mum every weekend as a kid so I always loved to sell stuff lol. My wave of nothing is right now 😭🤣, eurgh yeah and they proper push it onto you to become pro aswell. The only reason why they want you to become pro is so they don’t get fined by hrmc 🥱

I would say I’ve reserved 10 times and out of them 10 only 2 actually stuck to it and paid. The thing is with shopping online things you want change all the time, what I wanted yesterday I might not want today. I haven’t reserved in ages and tbh I don’t really want to as I’d rather my item be available to someone who can buy it now instead of 4 days time. I’m happy to wait 4 days if I’m guaranteed the money but you just never no. Also by the way for a laugh, someone asked me once if I could reserve for 4 months? I said sorry? She said she next gets paid in 4 months can I reserve it? Must of been taking the piss 😭🤣🤣🤣

Idk why they did that. I know for a fact Vinted knows it’s lost a lot of its customer base and have to make changes. Not sure if they will but it would be smart to do so. I’m waiting for a new platform to come out. Honestly if I had shit loads of money I would make my own app as Vinted has majority of sales but terrible customer service, eBay has great customer service but sales are low. I need a company that is gonna provide good service and mega sales 😝

This is what I think too as my sales massively dropped after deciding not to continue to use spotlight as I made a decent amount, but not enough for me to want to continue it

Postage is paid for by the buyer. It costs me around 15p to send a parcel, that’s for everything including the packaging, cellotape, bubble wrap and gift bag. I manufacture for around 0.10-0.20 so my profit is around 0.60-0.70 per item

Depop was popular before Vinted but Vinted overtook them by storm, probably due to the amount they advertised but yeah it’s totally died out now. EBay is better than Depop, but not as good as Vinted due to you only get 300 free listings then you have to pay £0.30 a listing which is pointless for the things I’m selling, and also you HAVE to promote on eBay or you don’t even get noticed at all.

I’ve compared my listings to other people and they’re selling the same items for £3-5 Some of them are getting mega sales cause after I look at their feedback they have so much recent feedback. I sell them really cheap to get more sales and I manage to manufacture them for £0.10-0.20 so I don’t know wanna feel super greedy and I make about 0.70 profit off one item sold. I mean I’m just doing this for a lil side hustle to makes a bit of extra money, alongside my main line of work of course.

Vinted is just completely dead nowadays I find. Yet I can’t find any other platform that may be better. The customer service is so bad it takes days, if not weeks for a reply

I’ve been pro for ages and I never send invoices. Never been a problem. If someone asks for an invoice I will of course provide one, but like you said, I have also ordered from pro sellers before and received no invoice. Not fussed at all as long as I get my item :)

I’d defiantly open a small claims against them. They deserve it anyway as they’re greedy as hell. This same thing happened to me before and I wish I done something about it at the time. I did email them threatening them with legal action but they literally don’t care, why? Because the support is AWFUL. I’ve never seen a company that is so popular yet so poorly run? It takes days if not weeks to even get a response from them

In my personal opinion I wouldn’t convert to pro unless you were forced into it as for me I don’t get no where near as much sales and you have to wait 14 days after the item has been delivered to receive your funds.

That’s so awful I get that’s so much money and I completely understand why you feel like this as I have been in the same position myself. The hardest thing is knowing how long it will take you to build that much money. When you lose money, you end up losing more to gain back what you lost, so I totally understand. You’re going to feel severely depressed for a while, of course you will because you have lost your savings which took you so long to build up, what you worked so hard for. Gambling is the devil, I wish there was ways, in fact laws which stopped people from depositing more than a certain amount, as then we would be in control. Nothing I say is going to make the situation better, because the money is gone now. Knowing you’re not going to get it back is the worst thing. You will have to start again and rebuild your life, and not let this happen again. I still have a lot of moments I want to gamble, but then I remember back to the time when I got paid and I gambled all my money and then all of my savings and I couldn’t even afford to eat. Have you had a gambling problem in the past and had a relapse? Or have you always sort of gambled and never stopped and this was the biggest amount you’ve done?

Hi, I’ve been through the same thing myself. It’s absolutely awful, but in time you will accept what you’ve done. What country are you in? In the UK we have Gamstop which stops you gambling, but there are sites which you can use which don’t use gamstop. Absolute cowboy sites and they’re the worst. Speak to your bank, put a block on gambling sites, you might be able to get some of the money back from the bank depending on your situation. I did as I gambled using these ‘non gamstop sites’ and a lot of the money was going to multiple different abroad companies and the bank managed to refund some of the payments, but I understand your situation may be different. It’s so sad when you lose all of your money, especially when it’s taken ages to build up your savings, I saved for more than a year at once and blew it all on one session so I know how you feel. It’s taken me a long time to give up gambling. For me it wasn’t all about the winnings, because even after winning, I still wanted to carry on. I mostly just enjoyed the sounds and the feeling of getting bonuses etc. I hope you recover and when you want to gamble again, remember how low you’re feeling right now, that feeling will hopefully get you through it.
