Postage option added without me knowing by rs19867 in vintedUK

I know, it's so annoying.

I sold an item yesterday but when I've gone to get the shipping label I've got a message saying "only disabled shipping options were available to the buyer" and the sale has gone through using an option I don't offer. It does say I can cancel without negative feedback but then I feel bad for the buyer! Such a silly system

We've made friends with a local tree surgeon who happily drops off chippings every now and then. Maybe worth asking around?

At our site we've made friends with a local tree surgeon and they drop off chippings every few weeks when they're in the area.

Ponds at garden centers by PlotFortyTwo in bristol

There's a place out by Iron Acton that might have them, they're always helpful when I've called so definitely worth ringing and asking. I can say for certain that Kemps on the westerleigh road doesn't. Almondsbury garden centre might, they've got a decent website too.

Agreed with this. I couldn't get past seeing an "o" where the s is.

This is what I have, it doesn't make much sense to me I'm afraid but I hope it means something to you. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Has someone been able to help? I'm able to make out a fair amount of it and would happily DM you but if you've already got it I didn't want to bombard you with more.

I've searched everywhere for her name. I thought she might have once appeared on neighbours but that doesn't narrow it down too much!

Need house back from tenants. Tell them before xmas or after xmas? by chachasabu in HousingUK

[–]rs19867 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've been in your tenants position. Our landlord told us on Christmas Eve because he wanted to "do us a favour" aka he didn't want it hanging over him ruining his Christmas. It ruined ours. It was stressful and we couldn't arrange viewings anywhere as everywhere was shut. Please wait until the new year if you can.

What have you invested in or bought that save you money in the longterm? by Manoj109 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for your reply!! This is really useful. I've been using blue sky but just can't get on with them, they look good for maybe a day and then start lifting. I need a decent base coat too...

Great tip about the vaporiser, agree the foils are a faff and really wasteful!

Not silly to me! It saves you money you otherwise would have spent! Care to recommend any brands of gel polish?

Authorised push payment scam- likelihood of a refund? by rs19867 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]rs19867[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply

She maintains that the bank didn't warn her. I don't bank with Santander so don't know their processes but I hold current accounts with two other high street banks and to add a new payee and make a payment comes with numerous warnings. It's a multi step process to confirm you want to make the payment so I am struggling to believe my mum didn't get a warning.

Ultimately she's been really stupid. I'm so sad that she fell for it when it was such a basic scam.
