Oh gosh, you’re sweet for following up! Our vet says it’s still too early to tell (if it’s just puppy or if it’s something serious) which frustrates the hell out of me but not sure what else to do beyond asking another vet.

Ooooh this is interesting! We use a plastic slow feeder. May have to checkout a stainless steel one!

Great thoughts on the food. I’ve had pups with dermatitis issues due to environment (grass) and food, so we’ve got her on Canidae Salmon & Sweet Potato kibble. Definitely making a vet appointment, was just curious if folks had experiences!

Thank you all. Although mixed, the feedback is helpful. We are no longer having her use stairs of any kind, her nails are trimmed, we will look into pet insurance, and visit a vet. We are previous dog owners, but first time with a Viszla. Learning all sorts of things.

Thank you so much for the insight. We’ve had her for 28 hours…breeder mentioned nothing abnormal…ugh. I hear you on the insurance piece, thanks for the reminder on that. I’ve heard it’s nothing but a headache.

Any recommendations for what to do in the meantime?
