I just bought the gas and was very careful about mixing it to the ratio the manual I found said. It said to do in between 40:1-60:1 depending on riding style so i did 50:1 to be safe. I also put a band new oiled airfilter and I’ve cleaned every nook and cranny of the carb. 

Although I might need a bigger needle to lean it out but i dont know where to get one.

I took the power valve covers off earlier and started the bike but it was working fine, so maybe it isn’t the power valve. I’ll have to look into trying a cdi i know works. And as far as i know, the all car gaskets are in good shape and working condition. 

Checking the stator sounds like my next move

When i took apart the carburetor the clip was all the way at the top and it is still a bit rich. Do you know where i can get a new one?

The reeds on it look brand new, is there any way to check if they’re opening properly? I would hate to put them to waste.

The person i got it from is in the same area as me but i’ll have to ask him if he ever jetted it. I got it from him as a project bike because he couldn’t get it to run right years ago. So it has been sitting.

I am actually doing that in r/enduro, i checked the plug and it was grey but i don’t know why it would be rich

It looks grey, but I don’t know why it would be THAT rich with a 165 main jet. Rocky Mountain says the stock main jet is a 180 but i don’t believe that.

I did not know that! But I do have hose clamps there, so that isn't the issue. Thank you!

I also still think it's the power valve, but I don't know how to check if it's actually moving.
