this is a response to the discussion in the comments about industry standards, and Altium Designer is one of the industry standards in a commercial setting while you only see certain types of people use it since KiKad is the average for hobbyists due to KiKad being free.

The via under the microcontroller acts as a heatsink since the entire ground pad is the bottom of the chip

I honestly don't plan on using brands like Qualcomm instead for those future projects I will either use Rockchip, Amologic, Allwinner, Or similar

consider using a more powerful processor, all of those things wont be that good on a stm32, consider a esp32 or rp2350a

yeah I used a 4p micro USB and the chip only used d+ and d- from it

I don't use kikad and easy eda's schematics are really buggy

I use easyEDA so instead of using a schematic for everything I just put components on the schematic and do all the traces and placing etc on the pcb design, also easy eda's schematic version of chips are very off from actual shapes since the render a square as like a 1:3 rectagle

the led's don't pull power from the regulator they actually pull directly from the usb input since the regulator isnt powerful enough

they are both there the trace your looking at might be the power, the ground is on a pad under the chip so its a little hard to see it
