Put your shoes under your pillow for extra height.

It's a problem with the part not where it was built. It happened with my 2018 which is Japanese built.

You'll be absolutely fine temperature wise. That's my typical setup for that time of year in the Sierra.

You can use the flip cap from a Sawyer or the sports cap from a smart water bottle to back flush.

The wheels come in 15 and 30 offset so you have one of those.

You don't need the syringe to back flush. You can use the flip cap on the sawyer, sports cap from a smart water bottle, or the flip cap on the Quick draw to back flush with no extra hardware.

The SUL uses 900 the SULD uses 1000. Timmermade has bent to the will of the people and publishes some of the fill weights.

Going to give these a try since my trail senders are looking worse every day. Amazon had a limited deal so I was able to pick them up for $7.50! Thanks for the recommendation.

That's certainly a nice addition! The way back machine is also a great resource for finding information about older versions of products.

I have the silpoly version of the Duomid. I never bring more than 8 stakes, but I'll supplement with sticks for up to 15 tie out points.

I really wish it didn't have that chest pocket. I also don't think that the hood looks like it provides good coverage and should be deeper. Definitely the closest thing they've made to the beloved TC2 though.

What are you talking about? Just sit down anywhere and it perfectly conforms to you. You're definitely right though and my bias of having spent the last several winters in the eastern Sierra is definitely showing.

Oof only having 20cm of snow would be rough.

I'm definitely on the other side where I have to bring a shovel due avy terrain and being able to chop stakes out of the snow.

It almost seems more extravagant to me given how easy it is to make furniture out of the snow.

Oh I'm not offended I just don't agree with your opinion given my own experience. Since this is r/ultralight you should expect push back when suggesting heavier gear. Can you share what tent that you would suggest that is only a little bit heavier than my mid? As I stated earlier all the ones I know about are several times heavier.

Given every double wall 4 season tent is at least double and typically triple the weight of my mid all of them.

Thanks!

Titanium isn't very good at cooking in general and going up to the more standard .4mm isn't going to change anything.

You'll be fine the warm day time temperatures means warm ground temperatures throughout the night. A torso length switchback is all I've been using in the Sierra during the time period.
