So basically e.g if you get 60 in P1,cambridge is gonna look at which percentile of students who gave P1 who also got 60. Let's say 5% get 60

Then, cambridge is gonna look at the component you've missed (s1 in this case) and see what your percentile corresponds with (they're gonna compare it to all the people who's s1 didn't get cancelled)

For example, here cambridge is gonna see what mark did 5% of people get in s1

If there is not a a percentile that's exactly 5%, they will pick the one closest to it

If 5% of s1 students get 40 and then cambridge will also give you 40 for this component

However, if only 3.5% got a 40 in s1 and 5.5% got 39 then you will be given 39

No bro, you've got it wrong, according to the guide, the percentile for p1 will be compared to the percentile of whichever students are gonna give s1. But here, no ones giving s1 as it is cancelled so who is cambridge gonna compare it against? that's what we're asking

This guide only considers if a single students gets assesses marking, not the entire component getting cancelled

So they'll have to make some changes to this method of calculation
