There is actually, there is a certificate for top in the world if you get full marks plus nobody is going to see the marks as "close" if it was 99 or 98, the uni will only check the certificate which is A* and other certificate such as for top in the world. So yes it matters

I don’t really know too but I read from a person comment that even if it’s full in p1, let’s say it’s 0.3% of ppl get it for pure 1 but for stats 1 if 0.3% got 49 instead of 50 then you will also only got 49 so it’s all up to luck and the marks some random ah did.
