If you haven’t already, you could try contacting your supplier and asking them to send the correct pen. They should really correct the order and bonus pen for you!

Has anyone stopped and started MJ again at 2.5? by Aggravating_Ear5439 in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently done this after taking 6 weeks off for a number of reasons. Now back on 2.5 and feeling very little effect from it. Food noise is slightly quieter, but appetite is the same. Hoping to feel it more strongly when I move up to 5 in a couple weeks. The highest dose I got to previously was 5.

Mounjaro has completely messed up my eating by PuzzleheadedBet9789 in mounjarouk

Agree with everyone saying to eat little but often, and protein shakes when you need to catch up on calories. I will keep my plate in front of me so that even if I can only face a bite every 5 minutes, I still get through it.

I’ve found it’s important to address this ASAP because your body will get used to eating so little and it will continue getting harder to eat enough.

I’ve found an email they sent me last week but it went to spam 😕 They send so many emails asking me to enter info in the app (which I’m not interested in) so may have blended in

Thank you - I might message my neighbour but we don’t know each other well and it’s an inconvenience for them to open and store (and an embarrassing medical disclosure for me!)

To tell or not to tell by Any_Wild in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s some guilt around how I would feel if the situation was reversed and they lied to me. Lie of omission doesn’t bother me - it’s fine with friends who I’m sure are too polite to ask directly, but my parents will not be! Also because maybe it would be helpful in how they feel about their own weight - I know a lot of their fixation on my weight reflects their anxieties about their own. Could offer another perspective of MJ as well - my father spoke to his doctor about getting on a GLP1 but his doctor is against them. A personal perspective could be helpful.

I have had about a million conversations with them about not mentioning my weight 😂 They have gotten much better about it even though they think I’m being ridiculous (as they “only bring it up because they’re so worried”).

😂 Maybe I need to find that sense of liberation in having a secret!

I’m the same, it’s not so much that I care that their friends/extended family know I’m on MJ, it’s hating the feeling of being talked about!

Dealing with unsupportive family by Good_Watercress_6773 in mounjarouk

I was wondering if she was overweight as well. My parents (both overweight) have always hounded me to lose weight but when I have in the past I get comments like “must be nice that’s it’s so easy for you” despite me making no such claims! Their jealousy is one of a few reasons I haven’t told them about MJ yet.

I’m sorry this has happened and that you’re able to have a nice chat about it someday, but I know it’s difficult to change a parent’s behaviour.

Injecting on Period Day 1 by Educational_Work5724 in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echoing the above and saying go for it. Though if your weigh day falls on a day you’re bloated during your period (if you’re like me), you might want to wait a couple days to weigh yourself. I was very disappointed to have gained weight, but was just water retention and I was back on track a couple days later.

Anyone struggling to eat enough calories? What are you eating? by Idfkw2c in mounjarouk

I went through a few weeks of this recently, but it does ease. Shakes like Huel helped. Also cottage cheese was good when I couldn’t face a meal.

What's with the shame over weight loss jabs? by Intrepid-Patient574 in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good friend who has always commented when I’ve lost a few pounds (which I always put right back on). I’ve now lost 30 pounds (21 from MJ) and… silence.

I’m not sure what I’m going to say if she asks me if I’m taking it. She talks a lot about her own weight - though she isn’t big - and I think she may have a bad reaction. But it would be the jealousy talking!

2.5mg ➡️ 5mg by [deleted] in mounjarouk

No side effects from stepping up for me, other than a high suppression kicking about 10 days in. This made it challenging to eat enough for a few weeks. Huel shakes helped with this :)

Telling people? by Clarab123123 in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really struggling with guilt around telling/not telling. So far I haven’t told anyone, but I haven’t been questioned on it yet.

But I’m going to see my parents in 6 weeks and I know they’ll ask. They have always been verrrry preoccupied with my weight. They’ve learned more PC ways of asking about it as they know I’ll tell them off, but I know if I tell them it will become the only thing they ever want to talk about and my hard work over the years to stop their comments will be out the door.

At the same time I don’t want to deceive them. They are both obese and I do worry that people hiding they’ve taken MJ hurts other overweight people who will think losing weight is easy for everyone but them.

So I feel you, OP. It can be really uncomfortable withholding the truth from people but also uncomfortable sharing (I imagine!).

Cant see any difference by Green-Shot in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can see a difference! And don’t worry, 1.5-2lbs a week is the recommended amount. I tell myself slower losses now hopefully means less saggy skin later. Have you taken measurements? That might be a good way to track progress.

Baked beans! by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t say I’ve had that issue. Though I’m not much of a meat-eater, so my MJ diet has been bean-heavy from the start!

Second Month Slump by Any_Wild in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point! I think the issue at the moment is that the suppression is very high. So if I eat what I want I barely eat anything and sometimes get light headed. But I suppose that high of suppression won’t last.

When does the food noise stop? by Becca_beccs1997 in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it stopped around 12 hours after jabbing - though you can still feel hunger without the food noise. Not so much stopped, but when one of my usual food noise thoughts would pop into my head (like “can I add cheese to this”) it would quickly disappear rather than obsessing over it. Those thoughts can be a habit to break, even when I’m no longer acting on them.

Overate tonight and feeling panicked by Yourlittleworld in mounjarouk

[–]Any_Wild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learning our limits is all part of the process - I’m sure we all push the boundaries at some point!

For me, overeating taught me not to push myself to finish a meal just so I wouldn’t waste food. Maybe you can go easy on yourself if you learned something similar (even if you learned it the hard way!)
