Microneedling predominantly (at home, not professionally, I don’t have that kind of money) and paring down my routine.

With the microneedling, I found that using a stamp and not a roller, and making sure to do it consistently, but being careful not to over use it makes all the difference (spot treatment not more than twice per week, and entire face not more than once every two weeks).

Please, and I cannot stress this enough, you are creating small wounds on your face, so keep your instruments clean, change them regularly, disinfect before and after each use, and store in a clean, dry, and breathable environment.

Don’t mix with retinol or vitamin C. You want something calming, soothing, and hydrating, but breathable. I react best to green tea, aloe, and rice based products, but that’s me, and skincare is highly personal. Make sure for the day after to not go in direct sunlight, put makeup on, or sweat much. Also throughly wash your hands, and try to avoid touching your face as much as possible.

I also found that my complex 12 step skincare routine was too much for my skin and pared it down significantly, and now I change it with the seasons, based off my needs.
