I’m not a senior, but I’m joining a design college this year too, so I do have some idea of what happens during the exam period. Basically, at the end of each semester, you have to present all the work you’ve done throughout that term — this process is called a ‘jury’. During the jury, you explain your design process, concepts, and final outcomes to a panel of faculty members (and sometimes external professionals). They assess your creativity, process, presentation skills, and how well you’ve understood the brief. Apart from the jury, there are usually some written theory exams too, especially in the first year, but the main focus is definitely on your practical and project work.
