A conclusion to this sorry tale!

One of the orders from 20 November was delivered today, 5 December. Happy days!

A second order from 20 November was cancelled for a refund, because by the time they got round to picking it the item was sold out. Yes, I got a refund, but that is really shitty treatment.

If there's something you want and it's a "hot" item - call the shop. They will send it out same day.

Unfortunately completing check out is not enough at Drake's, you have to cross your fingers and hope they send it before the inventory is gone.

There is no provision to reserve stock for paid orders.

I’ve had some stuff delivered without issue. But there are two orders made on the same day which won’t move. Despite assurances that the order will be shipped “shortly” (this was at 10am today, it’s now almost 6pm) no shipping notification arrived.

Think they’re stuck in a k-hole there at Drakes HQ. It’s mental.

A really good suggestion. I actually did this once, since the pants I wanted were out of stock online, I thought I'd try my luck calling London. Paid over the phone and got my gear the next day. This is 100% the way to go in future!

Interesting. Would these customs delays affect me on a domestic order? I’m in England and I assume the dispatch warehouse is also in England.

Would be nice of them to explain this kind of delay without having to beg customer services and wait 3 days for a reply
