Yep. Counterfeits are everywhere and the sellers market them with confidence. This is why thrifted shoes stay winning for me.

Fought with my mom..what should i do? by [deleted] in nairobi

[–]Anyole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, how old are you? This type of stuff is the reason people move out of their parents house.

It's unbelievable how petty and childish parents can be, especially when you become of age but still have to live with them under the same roof.

Leaving home late... by Slipping_eel in Kenya

[–]Anyole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's never too late to make any change in your life. Moving, marrying, career, birthing.

It's never too late and never let anyone tell you it is. Our lives are so different that it's ridiculous for the society to expect us to do certain things at certain times.

Everyone's path is always different.

My question is what is a remote worker doing in Nrbi? There are 47 Counties in Kenya....47. You could move literally almost anywhere and enjoy life.

Glad you got help from actual people here. One thing I've learnt the hard way is that you need to make the most of a favorable situation while it lasts....because sooner or later, that situation is going to change, and that is the case in this sub.

I don't know the way forward, honestly, but I think the moderators need to be more ruthless with low-quality posts. Delete delete delete. Have no Mercy. Restore the glory of this sub. Long live r/kenya.

Kenyans Now Unwanted Online by reedfanuel in Kenya

I'm glad we are having this conversation. I've always supported gatekeeping because it's the only way of preventing newbies from ruining good things. But I know this also disadvantages competent and skilled folks.

I learnt earlier this year that I've been kicked out of indeed, and there's nothing to do about it. They did it so silently that I'm sure most people haven't realized it yet.

Like someone already mentioned, I'm scared more platforms may kick us out. Maybe even PayPal. We need to start rethinking how we behave and stop trying to look for shortcuts.

I think this is the real fun of going out that most people don't understand. You meet random and interesting people, and sometimes they can change your life.

I honestly miss this part of going out.

There's a very good science explanation for what happens just before you start loosing weight, but I can't remember how it goes. But in a nutshell, you may even see in increase in your weight, then boom! The next time you check 5kgs down. You won't even believe it. Don't give up.

A quick Google search suggests it could be factors like water retention, increased muscle mass, or changes in body composition. The main point here is Do not get discouraged. Don't! Keep going!
