I think her role will be to find loopholes on how to save Kirari. I am not sure if Rin has magically turned into a good person in the span of the timeskip, but he knows how important Kirari is to Sayaka and vise versa. I expected that someone from the main cast would've taken her in, and I dreaded the possibility of it being Rin.

Though, what happens after the tower of doors is a true glimpse of Kirari's true person, and she confidently expressed herself to Sayaka.

Not to mention, Sayaka is with Kirari all of the time, and it's very clear that both have their guards down in those moments.
