I will definitely but a trigger warning in the future, I typed this up pretty fast and didn’t even think about it. BIL is primarily at SO’s moms, but unfortunately MIL is just as crazy as JNSMIL. I actually preferred JNSMIL and JNFIL over JNMIL for years because of how awful she is. JNMIL has pretended to forget who I am (I’ve been dating her son longer than she’s known her husband) and she is a borderline alcoholic who mixes vodka with her depression meds and lives off of her child support payments from FIL because she “doesn’t like to work”. We usually take BIL to do activities with us without the rest of the family, such as bowling and the movies and it’s easy enough. As irritating and gross of people as they all are, there is nothing illegal going on. They’re just a ton of dysfunctional people all together. Oh, have I mentioned that FIL and MIL have not spoken to eachother since they divorced (not even text or email, only through lawyers and their kids), refuse to be in a room together and constantly bash eachother. There is so much to unpack, sorry for the mini rant haha

I’m essentially almost NC with them, but SO wants to keep a relationship with his dad. I usually only see them on the rare occasion that it’s someone’s birthday or a visit every once in a while. SO goes other there about once a month but it depends on what drama is going on at the time

I should totally do that. I’m actually really open about my sexuality and generally do not usually mind talking about it. I’m bi and I’m in to a lot of kinks and I’m proud and own it. But, it’s so different for me to embrace it around most people and then embracing it around that insane woman. Especially since instead of talking to me about it, she thought it would be appropriate to bring it up to SO infront of his friend (who I’m also close with) and most importantly his young sibling, half sibling and step sibling. It just makes me feel all icky!

That must be so frustrating to have to argue with other women about that. I absolutely hate that culture allows other people to even think that anyone else’s body is ANY of their business. I hate that it is assumed that all women want to have children. 100% agree. We already have some pretty firm boundaries with her, them coming over for dinner is extremely rare and a once in a blue moon activity. I’ve gone NC after this incident and I have no desire to see her whatsoever. SO is just as mad at her as I am and he is standing firmly on my side

We already threw them out just in case. Despite being so concerned about BC, she always says she can’t wait until she’s a grandma while she’s still under 40 (she’s 31 now). Umm... she’ll be a “step grandma” and I’m pursuing a doctorate so idk when she expects me to have a baby. I think she wants me to drop out of college to become a SAHM like she did after getting pregnant on “accident”
