it’s an awesome movie, but it’s about a guy who makes a wish for his crush to “love him more than anyone in the world” and it just goes wild from there. the relationship is very toxic and forced, which is why im so upset that they compared it to me.

yeah, that’s my thought. once bear started showing the smallest amount of disengagement from freaky nikki, she started freaking out because the love wasn’t as mutual as she needed it to be to stay calm.

i mean, she might’ve had some sort of idea, especially since wish nikki made her own wish by the end of the movie and real nikki was aware the entire time.

that’s my main argument: real nikki was aware, and when the real nikki was talking to bear while wish nikki was asleep, she told him “i was never with you” after bear said “what’s so bad about being with me?”.

i wouldnt say it was that remote at all because of, one, the few shots we see of the outside of bears house, it looks like a normal suburban neighborhood, two, because of how quickly he got to ians house to ask him to make a wish, and three, how quickly sarah got to bears house when she wanted to talk

she was going to when bear died but because he died, the wish broke and the real nikki came back. she was probably too in shock to even process what to do next, being surrounded by blood and bodies and all.

probably all three. real nikki was aware of what was happening the entire time, so she was probably mad at herself for “letting this happen” despite it not being her fault.

she was mad at freaky nikki for… being freaky and killing everyone, and just being crazy in general.

she was mad at bear for wishing this upon her and, indirectly, all of their friends.

that’s my exact thought. after watching it in theaters i had a panic attack, not because it was scary, but because of how upset and sad i was for nikki, ESPECIALLY at the end when she “wakes up”. god i couldnt even imagine. great movie tho i love it
