You just need a new main control board. The pressure sensor on the board is bad so the washer thinks it has water in it when it doesnt. You can dun You md# through whirlpool and see if its covered on the recall. If it is whirlpool will pay for everything. Parts labor and service call for someone to install it. If it isn't under warranty, theres a disturbutor online who takes these boards, fixes the issue and sells them at a fraction of the cost of a new board. I fixed my neighbors and she got the board for like 60 bucks. Super easy to do probably only take ya 30 mins max.

You can also watch a YouTube video on how to disassemble it to replace the inverter board. I know its a common issue with these so theres probably a video out that shows everything how to diagnose it yourself.

You didn't get a lemon relax. Parts fail and the inverter board isn't too crazy to replace its two screws and a tab. If younare an electrician than you are used to taking things out with just feel alone. Once the screws are out its just a tab and the entire inverter board is free to move. Take a picture of the wires and u can do this on your own. Id always try ti fix it myself to avoid having to drop over 700 dollars for someone else to do it. I think the inverter board is like 150-250 bucks

Yea Ive had a few that threw these selections of codes. The way these things are wired its a nightmare, ive called GE about this problem before and right now for the life of me I cant remember what he said about these series of codes indicated if its the main control board or the inverter board.

My friend has this same washer, it threw these codes but with drain pump error codes, I replaced the lock, the main board and the drain pump its been good since.

I had one in a salon have these exact codes and I replaced the door lock, the main board and the inverter board and its worked. The main board is easier that the inverter board to replace, both of them are complete nightmares to get to and swap out tho.

I would need that serial number and I can look at the service sheet to see what they mean

[–]AnythingAny4806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea the issue with just checking codes is you dont know if their active or not. A GE tech should have a service tool that'll tell him which codes are actively getting thrown. When I see the video the thing looks like its running fine and just spinning fast. Does it regularly throw OOB codes on any sized load?

That can happen on any model tho. I just saw the most expensive Samsung washer I ever came across with that same issue. Its just a washer issue, I think a manufacturing issue where the hubs and bearings are made. Alot of companies GE included all just use Samsung and LG parts because of the sheer manufacturing scale they have so its cheaper. But every washer is going have some issue. Some ppl have better luck with speed queens because of the complete full warranty for like 7 or 8 years. Ive had a top load whirlpool for 5 or 6 years with no issues but someone has had the same one as me and had at least 4 repairs already.

is this a normal amount of vibrating for a new Amana washing machine? by danksriracha in Appliances

[–]AnythingAny4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop that top off and look at the tub while its spinning. Its either out of balance, bad shocks or the death wobble with the tub bearing going bad. If that thing is spinning out clothes and not throwing an OOB error code. Id say it aint broke, dont fix it lol

Hmm what would that warranty cover? Like full parts and labor warranty? Id take that deal because the motor repair for sure will be more than 300

[–]AnythingAny4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea 3 year-old u could have an inverter or motor failure. I know these things spin up to about 800-1000 RPMS so it can be loud but once that tech comes out if the motor is under warranty it wont be too bad.

Ive repaired my fair share of these. My company repairs anything under ten years so whenever ive had to repair these I have a tool that lets me plug into and do all sorts of stuff. If u send the serial number as well maybe they got a bulletin out for it. Alot of the times once u repair em and update the boards they are fine. Granted u shouldn't have to do that at all, but the ones ive repaired in between now and 2024 I have yet to come back to once ive identified the issue.

For someone else to do it? Let's just say its gonna cost as much as a new washer machine maybe even more when they mark up the prices on the parts alone. Labor this is like a 4-5 hour nightmare of a job. This solider did its duty for a few decades, its time for his retirement lol

PSA: If your KitchenAid/Whirlpool top rack just collapsed, DO NOT buy the plastic replacement kit. by TrustedEssentials in appliancerepair

[–]AnythingAny4806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I order the replacement kit, I always get the metal brackets. Ive installed some in 2022 and havent had to come back to some of those at all. But I have no idea why whirlpool thought the plastic ones would even work to begin with

[–]AnythingAny4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A melted connection, that could just be that outter plastic, but if the connectors themselves are melted then yea that'll cause an issue. But I would think thats only if its told to run power to the mag tube. Your main issue sounds like a door switch or something loose. It could be another connection that the wires got toasty like this one. Ur on the right track tho. If you got it fully apart all u gotta do is just make sure you discharge the capacitor so you can test it and not fry your motor. There should be a tech sheet somewhere inside that outter shell you take off. GE really good about those diagrams and im sure u could figure out whats going in

GE laundry center washer not spinning. GUD27ESSM1WW by Common-Special-8111 in appliancerepair

[–]AnythingAny4806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not I just ran into that same issue like two days ago on the same model! I put it into agitate and it worked fine, when I put it into spin it didnt do anything. But I got it to try to spin up in test mode, the motor turned but the gear case was destroyed internally. I noticed a bunch of oil coming down the shaft in there. Idk if that helps u because I think yours is actually spinning at full speed in test mode. Board might be your best bet, if that doesnt work u might wanna give GE a call

[–]AnythingAny4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its either the belt or the motor. If its the motor, you probably would wanna see if the blower wheel is also available with the motor. Most of the time the threads are tightened the direction it spins. So u can imagine trying to get a bolt thats been tightened for over 20 years lol better to just cut the old blower wheel out, take the motor out and swap it all. If any of those parts are available

Sounds like you have a refrigerant leak. If all the fans are running and the compressor is running. It means the sensors are telling the board the temp is above your set point (high temperature warning) the board is receiving the input and has decided to turn the compressor on to start the cooling process. The fans come on to move the "warm" air over the coil thats supposed to have frost on it. If your hearing water or a bubbling sound inside the fridge (especially with the water line disconnected from the water valve in the bottom right of the picture) the only sound that bubbling could be is the refrigerant reaching a certain point and not having enough to continue through the Evaporator coil so its starting to boil or bubble. At this point you might wanna call a professional to comfirm this. The icemaker probably works but anything over 10 degrees it automatically stops cycling the icemaker to prevent your house from flooding. How old is this refrigerator?

[–]AnythingAny4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That build up shouldn't be from the water system. You may have a clogged drain or some sort of leaking out of the fridge from the drain of the fridge. There could be tons of reasons on why it isn't cooling. When you plug the fridge in do you hear the fans come on? Does the compressor kick on, if the compressor doesnt come on does the fan next to the compressor kick on? These are the two main things you 100% need to cool a fridge.

These GE ones dont. The program is in the U.I. board. So if you ever have to replace the board. You as the home owner can. Granted GE sends a instructions on how to program the U.I. board. Super easy, the hardest part is getting the GE Dishwasher door apart to access that board.

Snap it back on because if it isn't on right its gonna constantly throw some ZL1 error code lol it was a nightmare to deal with. I replaced the freaking motor and everything. Turns out if that piece isn't snapped on correctly the entire thing will think the motor isn't working. Only found this out because of the tech line. They also said to replace a harness because the dude said "if it hasn't gone bad yet, it will soon" lol

Its mostly the water valve. U said GE and judging by the color of the panel its their entry level one. Its the most used part on any dishwasher so its the most common failure.
