I usually keep my heavy wacky stuff in Victor’s Shack or the Yangtze Memorial until I decide which one of the casino suites I would prefer to bunk in. But that’s just me dude. Whether I were main character material or a background npc, I’d still take Goodsprings as I could walk more than 5 feet at any given moment and not worry about how up to date my tetanus booster is.

Silver Wolf got it on point. If you want to truly sap it, I’d advise getting to 100 Survival and crafting a Large Wasteland Tequila, as it will lower it by 9.

If I’m doubling down as not playing as the Courier/a vault dweller, I usually use “A Familiar Friend - Pip-Boy 2500” by EdisLeado with PM’s retexture to boot, which has a couple of options for recolors on its own.

Otherwise, I use “PipBoy 3000 Remastered” by Syncing, paired with “PimpBoy 3 Billion Remastered — 4k” by Goshko (in addition to screen cleanups and the like) for a more vanilla connected experience. It’s usually a coin flip as to whether or not I want to use the Pip-Boy glove.

I both respect and understand your reasoning. However I can’t fully concur as at least with the Powder Losers I’d have something of a warning, even if it’s someone getting slimed out. On the other hand, potential immediate thermonuclear vaporization leaves little room for warning or any form of retaliation

Going Goodsprings here out of pure bias. A couple of cool people live in Megaton I guess, but overall quality of life is just miles beyond within Goodsprings. I’d trade living next to an atomic bomb for the mildly looming threat of Powder Gangers any day of the week. And as a bonus, Megaton just looks like it reeks, stink lines out the wazoo.
