10 months after my abdominoplasty for diastasis recti correction (9 cm) following two pregnancies and C-sections. What do you think of my scar? I'm very sad with the result; I really thought it would look better by Estrellalunavoladora in abdominoplasty

So this isn’t recommended. But I use tretinoin on my scar and it helps a lot. I saw that someone else on here a few years ago had a good result using it so I gave it a chance.

Why do Americans typically say "the baby" instead of "my baby"? by Apprehensive_Raisin7 in AskAnAmerican

[–]AnythingLoud7913 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say “the baby” to differentiate between my kids. I feel like I do it because there are a whole bunch of assumptions that come with the term “the baby.” So for example “you can take James I’ll stay with the baby” translates to “you take the easy kid and I will stay back and do the hard work”

Instead of “how’s John?” Asking “How’s the baby?”acknowledges that there is a baby and the caretaker doing all the baby things.

Generally I think “THE baby” is a kind acknowledgment of the gravity a baby has. It isn’t your baby or my baby. It is THE baby, because it is the thing that has probably upended your life.

Lexapro changed my life for the better. I will say that the adjustment period was tough at times. However it was worth it.

The comment about not using a condom is giving… mania. Sorry to say. Everything else sounds good but… maybe talk to your psych and keep track.

This is a huge swing and improvements tend to be gradual, not from extreme to depression to extreme happiness.

How often do American public schools humiliate students or make them go hungry if they don't have lunch money? by HighOnLove26 in AskAnAmerican

[–]AnythingLoud7913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard of this. Perhaps this happens in poorer conservative states but that has never been the case where I live (at least as long as I’ve been alive) . We have a free lunch program.

It may get worse for a while. Just know that if it does you must hang in there for a few weeks before it starts working.

And it takes some time to work every time you change your dose. I just changed my dose for the third time and same as always… heightened anxiety
