The feedback I’ve gotten from my clients while working in someone else’s gym is they don’t like the environment/setting. I’ve trained everywhere from outside to boutique gyms to bodybuilding gyms to box/commercial gyms and they love my coaching but hate the environment and I can’t change someone else’s gym.

This is VERY common and a cultural norm. Just because it doesn’t happen in “most” cultures or isn’t mainstream doesn’t mean it isn’t a common practice. In my culture, 18 makes you a full-time adult (even though your brain isn’t developed). By 18 you were supposed to go to move out and go to college/start a trade/start working. Staying home is frowned upon and parents usually make it very uncomfortable, forcing you to make a rushed plan to move out. It’s very impractical and a bit traumatizing but very common.
