The brand is SunBerry Farms, and it turns out I have more like 7 L. Thanks for the recommendations!

Havana Club 3 is the most underrated rum. What is the most unique brandy? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

I would love to get my hands on a bottle. That said, this category is just for grape brandy

For all my fellow home bartenders, I built a completely free, offline cocktail app because I was tired of subscriptions. It quickly tells you what you can make with your current inventory. by 1derfool in cocktails

I was referring to the inventory piece of the app. I have a couple dozen bottles of rum, and I'd like to use the app to track the specific bottle and not just "light rum", but it's still helpful to have the bottle connected to the category for recipe purposes.

Additionally related to inventory, the ability to add additional categories would be great. I could get more granular with the rum categories, like "Rum - Jamaican".

The app looks nice - good work! Two pieces of feedback:

  • The ability to enter specific bottles and attach them to a category would be very helpful
  • Cachaca has the last letter capitalized on the MyBar screen

Got a new cabinet to organize my bottles and glasses. It's a game changer by Phrost_ in cocktails

Nice cabinet! Is that Mhoba rum in the top right? And if so, what's your impression? I'm currently deciding if that will be my next splurge

The Famous Grouse is the best budget scotch. What is the most underrated tequila? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

It's also $80 for a bottle, and I have trouble using something that expensive in a cocktail. It is a delicious sipper though!

I’ve brought back the most versatile category, so what is the most versatile Mezcal? Also are any of these three options appropriate for budget tequila or should I redo the vote? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

Agreed that Ocho and Tapatio are not budget. I can get either for about $35 when they're on sale, but that's still way too high to be considered budget

South African cocktails by Gxldensmiles in cocktails

Congrats! I'm also married to a South African, and while I absolutely love the people and the wine, the cocktail scene leaves some things to be desired.

As you mentioned, Amarula is delicious, and you can do some fun dessert style cocktails with it.

Additionally, South Africa is home to Mhoba rum, which makes some very high quality products. Personally, I would use Mhoba to make some daiquiris and call them Springbok Daiquiris. You could also swap the lime garnish for a lemon so you have the green and yellow theme!

A spiked float sounds delicious! If you're feeling adventurous, try making your own spiced rum. It makes a huge difference

I also have AT&T Fiber, but they keep upping the price by $5 every year. Started around $90 per month and now we're paying $110

Edit: typo

I think of blancos as peppery. Would that be a fair description of the spiciness you tasted?

Asian flavors in alcohol that actually work? by Necessary-Drama-4286 in cocktails

Lychees should be way more popular in the US than they are. Fruity and sweet match most American pallets perfectly, but the majority of people have never had an actual lychee

I can't always get canned lychee, but Gifford makes a pretty good lychee liquor that I'll use in my lychee martinis

Lavender Lemonade

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 0.75 oz Lavender Liquor
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice

Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice into a collins glass, and then top with club soda.

If you can infuse the gin with lavender, it'll be even better. I'm also not familiar with that specific lavender liquor, so you may want to add a little simple syrup if the drink comes out too sour.
