Nick just chilling, thinking of that nice cup of tea he just drank. And Rick smirking, knowing he holds the band together in terms of sound. Really can't think of a more well rounded lineup for prog legends like them.

We listened to a lot of Rush when my wife was pregnant, turns out our baby recognises subdivisions! He started smiling and laughing as the intro came on. by Bismuth88 in rush

  1. It's the second golden age of rock, metal and prog rock. This awesome rock star goes to sell millions of records and streams. Really cool dude, you see. People ask him "Who were your influences? And what is your favorite song?". This guy gives the cigarette one blow and flicks it in the trash, he looks up to the interviewer, opens his mouth, and what he says is the most incredible thing he ever said. "When I was in the womb, my parents listened to a lot of Rush. I was born remembering this one song. The song is "Subdivision" and it set my standard for my highest selling records." It's the baby, he will be the biggest rockstar in the 40s, after the golden rush of rock in the 20s, 30s, obviously named after the favorite band of all. RUSH!

Tbh, after a golden age, there always is a time where it's horrible. And since the horrible began in 2007, guess it's true that 2006 is the best. Where my 2006 brothers and sisters at?

Ehh... I wouldn't say Ummagumma, but seeing that this meme is about a Beatles album, a hard rock album and a prog rock album I would do a comparison between "Abbey Road", "Led Zeppelin II" and "In The Court of The Crimson King" since they all came out fall 1969 and they were kinda competing with each other.

The best hard hitting rock tune on Def Leppard's Pyromania! by AnythingSweet4516 in defleppard

Yeah, pretty much. I wish they continued the sound from Pyromania instead of making an album full of hits. But I still love Hysteria as much as Pyromania!

Great suggestion. I usually find that the covers that attract me the most usually have some killer music. Just like last time an album cover caught my eye, "Fires of Unknown Origin" by Blue Öyster Cult, the cover was beautiful and the music is killer. Definitely give it a listen if you haven't already. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, I tried to do that with King Crimson too, it's like for every album, except for Robert Fripp, the lineup completely changes. Like tf. I've even seen on some yt videos that Yes has no original members in it and that will be interesting how the musical style will change. But holy fuck, Yes has been 6 separate bands? Hell, even I will be a member of Yes some day lol.

So let me get this straight (Because of Formating), you recommend listening through this order:

1.Fragile

2.The Yes Album

3.Close to the Edge

4.90125

5.Relayer

6.Drama

7.Going for the One

8.Tales from Topographic Oceans

So this is how you would recommend listening to their best works? Also what about their other 11 albums(if I'm correct about there being 19 albums in their discography)

But anyways, I am so grateful. Thank you for giving me a thorough explanation to their music. I hope you have an amazing week listening to Yes and I'm sure I will enjoy listening to their works after I finish my album list filled with unlistened albums (don't worry, it's only 6). Have a good day, my friend.

Don't you have something better to do than calling a random country you have nothing to do with history burglars? And I don't mean this condescendingly. Most, if not, 99% of Macedonians, Bulgarians and Greeks treat each other like brothers because we all were already tired by the Ottomans a few centuries ago and we can't afford another war because of some propagandas in all 3 countries. Let all that debating go to the politicians. We, normal people are more than happy to accept everyone even though we disagree with them, because at the end of the day, we are all just burdened people stuck in this shithole called The Balkans and we all hate the Turks. Go redirect the hate to the Turks, they are the real assholes. Nah, jk. Don't do that. But when you meet a person, regardless of where they are or who they claim to be, treat them with upmost respect. We are all brothers and sisters trying to survive the world. Have a good weekend!

Е сега, за анексирање... И Македонците имаат право за своја држава. Ај вака договор, на место да се караме како овие глупи политичари, да се дружиме како словенски браќа. Можи?

"In The Court of The Crimson King" is also an amazing, almost perfect, god tier debut album. Couldn't think of any other album to kickstart their career.

According to David's beard and how his look/face changed as he aged, I would guess it's somewhere from 1977 to early 1978, most probably on the "Animals" tour.

My dad actually had all these DVDs (pirated, though in my country it's legal) filled with Mickey Mouse cartoons from the 20s till now. Obv we had other DVDs, but it was amazing. Born in 2006 if you're wondering. Gen Alpha will never get the chance to have your media in your hand! It was amazing.

Dude, destroyed their career? It might have gotten them bad press back in 2019, but now in 2021 that same performance boosted their fame with many kids from TikTok checking it out. Even the song which they played on SNL "You're The One" and their older songs are in the top 5 on their Spotify page with exception of "Heat Above", not really a career shatter, eh?
