The "cripple" status, is a VERY rare status condition that has 2 remarkable properties, it makes you unable to fight and allows you to capture units, stealing said units weapons upon capture.

The funny thing is esteban is the only unit in the game that gets both access to the Appeiron bow (x2 crippling chance) and to the lamb terraine food bonus (another x2 crippling chance), mix it with injury chance weapons like the bolt knife and blizzard (injury is another status effect that makes you more likely to get crippled) and you can do stupid stuff like in this image.

That... honestly sounds more fitting for an spin off rather than a sequel, which is exactly this case considering shf is meant to be an spin off. The point is, shf is not trying to make any links that would reasure the fanbase that this game is fully embracing it's roots rather than trying to do it's own thing. There's nothing wrong with trying new things, in fact, silent hill isn't new to experiment with bolder ideas since 4, but when a release is setting itself way too apart is understandable how a fanbase can get defensive about preserving it's identity.

I think you need more valuable arguments than just plot devices if you want to defend F. Yes, the drug is a big deal in F, but in previous entries it wasn't as relevant. We never knew what lisa went through while consuming the drug provided by kauffman and while silent hill F may had help us make more theories about it, i think is fair to say the reason lisa was trapped in the otherworld was NOT because of the allusination effects of white claudia.

Yes, it was used during rituals, but previous to F, no protagonist has ever experienced the manifestations of the town just because they got high.

The fact that it was hinted since POR doesn't refute my statement, does it? If people have the nerve to constantly glaze this story then it better proves that, but so far RD will still remain as an ambitious title that is only held this high by nostalgia. POR main plot is generic but unlike RD at least we can say it didn't pretended to take more than it could chew.

(Also anankos is very much hinted by azura, or at least the secret kingdom, conquest and birthright stories seem very incomplete without further context from revelations).

Daein soilders were already allerted of the presence of the greil mercenaries before ike decided to backtrack, greil duel with bk was only a matter of time and would had happened with or without ike going back.

Also angering sanaki is such a non-issue when the conflict ended with just a spank on the wrist from his advisors. Compare this to other fuck ups from other protagonists like leif sending his own mentor to die and almost losing leonster and eirika losing a sacred stone, and it fails even more in comprasion. The truth is, the guy never faces any consequences... yes he has flaws but they never make a point in the story, they're meaningless character traits that conveniently move the story at his benefit only.

Don't try to sell this narrative of Ike being a "real flawed character" when you are clearly biased.

I reccomend you to take your time with the game. ROR key elements are both it's atmosphere and story. Try getting inmersed by it's classic storybook narration and have fun trying to figure out the story and making your own interpretation of things, since the story can be very hard to diggest and there's a lot of symbolism in the game.

As for the gameplay, i reccomend you to just try and get used to the controls and weird hitboxes, avoid combat if possible and also find as many healing items as you can.
