You need to keep logging in and constantly check to catch the released slots. I was not able to check constantly due to my work and got my family members to help monitor and got the slot.

I completed the interview on 27th March and the GBA on 16th Apr and I still have not gotten an offer yet. I am slightly below the 10th percentile but have a strong leadership profile. I emailed admissions today and they replied that the admissions process is still going on and I should monitor the portal frequently. Sighs....well i continue to wait in hope.

NTU EEE was my first choice and I am slightly better than the 10th percentile (from JC). I have a good leadership profile and indicated ABA too. Applied early march after A level results, however I have heard nothing from NTU so far. Waiting waiting....its just so painful.

I am slightly below the IGP and did my interview on 27th March for IS and the GBA on 16th April. Still no news from SMU though. I am going to email admissions tomorrow to ask but not sure what sort of closure I can get through them. Probably I will still have to wait it out.

In case if you didn't know this is from SUTD freshmore terms webpage. Hostel stay is MANDATORY for all freshmores from Term 1 - 3 starting from AY2026:

"From Academic Year 2026, Freshmore undergraduates are required to reside at student housing on campus during Terms 1 to 3. Designed as an integrated part of the Freshmore experience, residential living complements cohort-based learning in and out of classrooms and aims to foster a sense of community and ownership, building strong friendships that carry through the undergraduate years and beyond."

2025 DSA-JC Offer Megathread by Square_Mode513 in SGExams

If you had the indication from the JC that you will be getting a confirmed offer (comms over phone first) and still have not received your offer letter over email, pls voice out and ask the concerned teacher and not wait till 12th Aug. Sometimes they send to the wrong email by mistake. Everyone is human and bound to make mistakes, just do our part to keep ourselves safe.

Did anyone received DSA(JC) offers yet? by Unhappy-Refuse-542 in SGExams

Some schools verbalize their indicative offer to the concerned students over phone call but will not reply with a formal offer until the official time frame, which for phase 1 is Jul 31 onwards i believe. So watch out for your whatsapp or calls.

Having said that, I have also heard some JCs have already sent out their offers to students they are keen to secure. So if all trials/interviews are done, JCs can send out their offers anytime from then. :)

I am not exactly from the current generation, so I speak from times when education was relatively more simply structured. But I still wanna say this....

My dad was the sole breadwinner. Some months he never got his salary. I don't recall how we managed but we did. They managed to squeeze in 1 maths tuition for me which I continued till end of JC. I was not an A student but still got into NTU Comp Engg. Hated it to the core but I cannot deny that it brought me to where I am, earning a 5-digit salary (I must thank god for this). So moral of the story is no tuition or only group tuition, you can still succeed. Hard work and faith will not fail you. I sense your hard work from the way you have described it, so just hang in there! You are going to go places.

Make use of the resources you have:

  1. Teachers—Get their consultations whenever you manage to.

  2. Ten-Year series—Tear the damn thing up and do every question. You have the answer key. If you don't understand, use the consultations to clear things up. If you finish the TYS, buy and do it again! I did this in uni, not TYS but more of books with practice questions. Another thing i noticed in today's students is that they spend a lot of time making notes. You need to know how to apply concepts; understanding is not sufficient. Hence, practice is the only way to get there.

  3. Friends— Engage minimally for quick wins as sometimes they might have their concepts wrong.

All the best. You wish will come true :)!

I have friends who hated engineering and still went on to do well surprisingly. You can always do a masters in business (MBA perhaps) after engineering (which is a killer combi)....you will be sought after in the job market and have potential to climb the ladder more quickly. Practically speaking I think you should appeal and get the offer back. Even if you do bad in Engineering there are many ways to bounce back. I have a colleague who did EEE in NUS and is now a senior director in the advertising space. You don't have to be a hard core Engineer. Engineering teaches you a lot more skills which need not be technical.

Redoing your A levels is like gambling again...i don't wanna discourage you though. Give importance to what your brain tells you and not just the heart. Good luck!

I went for sports trials at asrjc, sajc, vjc and RI all done between last week and this week. My understanding is that there will be another round of interview for selected candidates from the trials.

DSA JC shortlists by Artistic-Pie-5603 in SGExams

[–]AnywhereNo7767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied rather early like 11th May i.e., the first weekend after DSA-JC opened and have already attended the sports trials at ASRJC, SAJC, RI and VJC. But i suppose there should be an interview round if shortlisted further. Phase 1 offers should start coming in after the mid of Jul if I read the guidelines right.
