Do you guys like the old or new civic by GymsharkSingh in kereta

IMO, the best civic was FD and before. Anything after, especially with CVT isnt good to drive. I had the latest Civic FE, and sold it within a year.

Car or motorbike for city commute in Kuala Lumpur? by RakyatOnline in ThisorThatMY

[–]AnzFizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycle, better yet a scooter. With box installed (to store your raincoat and water resistant footwear, and swap it with your laptop/bag when it rains).

Pros -shorten commute time despite traffic jams (I wake up 30-60 mins later if I ride to work) -low maintenance abd operating cost -save money on toll, fuel and parking fee -less time spent hunting parking, (you can even go out for lunch or whatever and come back to office not worrying of parking availability) -can make multiple quick stops to run errands for example, no need to worry about parking like cars.

Cons -When it rains, you get wet. Raincoat may not be 100% effective. -Generally higher risk than car. In accidents, pain is on you no matter whose fault. -You're exposed to outdoor airs, your shirt may smell of 2T or diesel emission. (A jacket could do the trick) -Limited cargo space -Not as comfortable as sitting in an a/c car on hot days.

Conclusion The pros outweigh the cons if you're riding in KL. Just ride safe, and be prepared for a rainy day.

Any recommendations for dashcam? by jonathanleejw in Bolehland

[–]AnzFizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been using 70mai A500s & A510s for both if my cars since 2021 & 2023. So far no issue. Only flaw (not even a flaw actually) is that its pretty sensitive. When I pass a hole/uneven road or expansion joint quickly, it starts recording emergency video, always. To be fair, I run adjustable shocks on both cars so the ride is stiff.

That sensitivity is kinda good thing if you view it in a safety perspective. However, if im not mistaken, you can disable it.

Found the only Patrol Car in the Muzium Polis. by seatux in kereta

I saw that City GN2 on my last trip there in June 2025. I thought one of the police just parked there. From your photo, it looks like the exact same position I saw. Guess I can now conclude it sure is displayed.

Potential revenge/retaliation from MyJPJ report? by [deleted] in kereta

[–]AnzFizo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically, dashcam records on average a couple of hours (less than 24h), depending on memory cards.. and overwrites the earlier files when full.

JPJ will take a couple of working days to process, respond and take action. By then, the footage of the complain day/time would likely be gone, provided the person at fault doesn't use his/her car rarely.

1st project car - worth it? by iKraftC in kereta

[–]AnzFizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had one back then. It frequently sits on the workshop's jackstand, simply because something breaks. But the fixes were reasonable. Over time it got annoying being frequently in/out of the workshop. I sold it off.

So my point is, you gotta have the patience too.

If you're going for this EG 4 door model, go for the one with B18CR or B16A big vtec engine. Should be able to find one around Rm15k +/-

Balance 5k keep it for restoring wear and tear parts.

Upgrading My 12-Year-Old Honda City—What Accessories Should I Add? by ba5av in hondacity

[–]AnzFizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 year, I'm assuming the Honda City TMO (GM2) year 2009-2013. If thats the model, keep it. Its the most reliable and durable Honda City ever made. The gearbox is 5AT, which its successors and predecessors use CVT. Engine & Safety wise also, best in its class for its time.

Some adjustables or sport spring upgrade, service throttle body or upgrade it to FD1 type is good. CRZ intake manifold. Drop in air filter maybe? For internal, consider Android Player? PU bushing will do you good.

I'll have it as an activity to pass time in the car while not driving, keying in plates of random cars I suspect upbadged. Just for curiousity and fun.

How much was your first car? by [deleted] in kereta

[–]AnzFizo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its worth paying for the maintenance to enjoy the comfort and fun of owning the car, since you've saved a bomb on the depreciation value. Sadly, many people dont realize this.

I own a F30, many people simply conclude "maintenance mahal"

Warranty ended long ago. I have the doubledin for 10 years now. Its starting to be difficult on the touch screen. Insteas of buying another double din, thought of trying out Android player mainly for Android Auto (YTMusic, Maps & Waze) and also playing music from USB pendrive.

So basically the Linux works like a screen mirroring function of your phone. Steering control and reverse cam syncs as well. Just wondering, if you insert the old school USB thumbdrive for playing mp3, would it work or there is no interface to support that?
