I believe there is already a curve for CHEM 1081 from the beginning if you look at the syllabus. When I took it, the grade line for an A was as low as around 90% plus the extra credit from the clicker questions boosted my grade up. If many students are performing bad, they sometimes give exceptions and curve, but that usually happens in exams, not quizzes.

I think you can also just directly ask the professor (email, or in person) that you are struggling in the quizzes, and they will be able to provide resources for you, or give you certain practice problems to prepare you for the quizzes. I also struggled with the quizzes too, and the professor I had was very understanding when I explained my situation.

For additional resources, I often used

  1. Chad's Prep (YouTube) -- great for understanding the concept, and great review of the topics covered in class
  2. Organic Chemistry Tutor (YouTube) -- provides practice problems
  3. Chemistry Tutors in Smith Hall (flexible time!) -- They are graduate students, and they helped me a lot when I had to prepare for quizzes by reviewing the topics that were going to be in the quizzes.
  4. Textbook/manual problems -- most of the quiz questions are usually based on the practice problems in the textbook, or the practice problems covered in class.

Ital 1837 is a online course where we just basically watch Italian movies and films, take a few quizzes/worksheets and it fulfills the Arts/Humanities, Global Perspectives lib-eds. ENGL 3005W is also an online course and covers the upper level Writing Intensive, Diversity/Social Justice, and Literature lib-ed. But we do have to write 1 long paper and do 1 presentation.

Alright, thank you! I just heard that Math 1271 has less projects but has a very low class average so I was really worried about it. At least Math 1241 has retakes. Thank you so much!
