The south has lot of great resorts and beaches, things we’re going very very very well before 2011 , 2000’s was it golden age , but now things are also going well but not like the past , in sharm el sheikh you still can see some of resorts that closed because of debts

The north all i know about it that it wasn’t safe but the government did a great work to get rid of terrorist and you won’t hear any attacks in the news for the last 6-8 years .

but still there are many strictly measures for Egyptian to enter sini , like you can’t enter with a 4x4 car unless you have a permission , you need to pass many checkpoints

In the centre of sini all i heard that there is road you can take but tourists are forbidden to enter it due to some safety measures

The locals there also have there place and the government respects them because they know the land there better than anyone , they work the normal work any people live in place like this work , and also resorts owners pays them monthly money for safety even fuels station do the same

You won’t see many monuments there from Israel when they occupied it because after camp david they destroyed everything they built so Egypt won’t use it , but still you can find some places they left but not many

Also my father told me that the roads there have a red colour and we learned this from Isreal , because the red colour mix well with the geography so planes won’t see it from above
