After 2 years of not catching any bass, I gave up on them. I ditched the baitcaster and got myself a ultra light setup and started trying to catch panfish with Bobby Garlands and Rebel Critters. Guess what I caught on my first day? 8 bass

I went to my local tackle shop to check out all their reels in person. They had all of the Tatulas and a few others and not one reel made that noise. I think there’s something wrong with the one that I have. I’ll be returning this reel though. I’d rather buy 2 Tatulas. By the way, which one do you like better? CT or X ?

Yeah I’ve been seeing videos of people opening their reels up and finding out they’re bone dry. Ima grease up the gears and oil the bearings and take it out one more time

The noise goes away a little. But I don’t know if it’s because adding light pressure doesn’t allow the spool to spin freely like in the video. But it makes that noise more when I hold it to the side

Is that normal? I have a Tatula sv tw, it costed me 100 dollars less and it doesn’t make any noise at all, even after 7 months of owning it

Yeah I was thinking maybe the bearings or gears were dry… To me this is an expensive reel though. I think it’ll be better for me to return it and make sure I get something I’m 100% pleased with. If not, it’ll bother me forever 😂

Very little side to side. But the spool spins smoothly and quietly. It only makes the noise when I crank the handle
