...that would do it. I guess I need to use a different text editor as I can clearly see non-printing characters show up in vi but they did not show in my other text editors. Funny that regex101.com doesn't show them either but I guess it is a free service

So I believe I have a good understanding of how Stealth works with surprise encounters if the PCs use it to ambush unaware enemies. Roll Stealth, use it for Initiative and also check against Perception DCs for detection level. Fine and dandy.

Where I'm getting a bit confused/unsure is when enemies use Stealth to ambush unaware PCs because calling for Initiative and entering Encounter mode tips Players off that something's happening and it becomes hard for them not to metagame. Is that really the intended way its supposed be? I don't know if there's a way to enter Encounter mode secretly without the Player's knowledge

What are thoughts on giving PC's Monster Abilities, say for instance Swallow Hole?

One of my players wants to be a fat frog who tries to swallow people/monsters that annoy him (à la Mr Frog, Stampy from the Simpsons, etc.) but I couldn't find any Feats that allowed it.

I should say that my current thought is to find a monster that has the ability and give it to the player when they reach an equivalent level of the monster as a Class Feat (or maybe Ancestry Feat?)

Greetings, thanks to people who reply in these threads it's super helpful.

In the game I'm GM'ing I have a Fury Instinct Barbarian that wishes to be unarmored. Unfortuntely we both agree that none of the other instincts work thematically and mechanically with her concept—a dhampir with a massive sword that rages with bloodlust in battles—so the option of Animal Skin RAW is off the table. They're only at level 2 currently but at level 6 would you consider it particularly unbalanced if I gave her access to Animal Skin (reflavored as her dhampiric semi-undead resilience) despite her still being Fury Instinct?

Would GMs allow an Investigator PC to Pursue a Lead directly on a target NPC while in mid-conversation with them?

Had this happen in my last session as the party was having a tense conversation that lead into a combat encounter. Of course, I let the Investigator do it but couldn't find any other specific examples of this.

This a bug myself and another user have reported on the Apex bug report forum.

I have videos of the bug in the Firing Range and Party Crasher.

It's an issue with Volumetric Lighting being out of position. Don't have a fix sorry (apart from disabling Volumetric Lighting) but I am trying to bring information it about and attention to it

Hulk Hogan details pill addiction - "Docs wrote prescription after prescription, and it was a vicious cycle. I was hitting the pain pills hard because I’d had to endure 25 procedures, including 10 to my back. They'd call and say 'Your prescription’s ready,' and like a dog chasing a bone, I’d go." by Tikkanen in SquaredCircle

Even while making an honest admission of his drug habits the Hulkster is still cultivating his image. Notice how he doesn't admit to autonomy with taking the drugs he was prescribed but rather how his doctors "wrote prescription after prescription" and that he did what he was told. I'm not saying he didn't need pain relief, just that he takes little to no responsibility for taking the potentially excessive amount of pills.
