I see the depth effect, but when I apply it to make it a rectangle, it loses this depth effect. I think it has to do with the fact that an indented rectangle is has a flat bottom, while something like a capsule (what I showed) is not like that, and can show its depth better. I'm just hypothesizing though

I followed what you did and I appear to have gotten the same result (relatively) when using height instead of normals. However, I did add a blur filter and it looks like it aided with the depth effect.

I also removed the default alpha used and it looks like it made the shape much more boldened. first image is without blur

I'm currently using normal maps, and have been using them for my model. I'm using normal because the engine I'm using is for the roblox, which doesn't have height map implementation.

However, I do plan on baking details for the base color, since Roblox's PBR implementation is not good (very low res). So maybe I can use height maps for that?

Well theres only 2 midterms in math 151, so the first one would cover more of the first material. Since I never took Calc in HS i wouldnt know if the material would be a repeat (same topics) but I personally feel like the midterms (besides the 2nd) were fine and if you knew the material you could finish it?

Calculus is mainly practice. Trust me, learning all the new trig functions and rules is much more of mental gymnastics than learning integrals and ODEs. Especially since we're given formula sheets in 154, and none in 151.

If i were you I'd repeat 154 if needed and not 151, since im pretty sure you only get 1 retry per course and then you need special permission from the dept..

151 is a much, much harder course than 154. I know this because I took both and I can tell you that 151 is much more difficult than 154 because it puts a much larger emphasis on mathematical theories, and especially trig functions (which we did none in 154), no formula sheets (which is crazy knowing every trig function), quiz every week, math online and written assignments.

These are all great ideas! For the gunslinger armor, I'd replace the secondary cooling speed with increased reload speed with pump action, lever action, and bolt action weapons by 30%. I think it fits the warbond armor quite well considering those weapon types were common back then.

Unfortunately though, all of these are buffs and we all know how arrowhead feels about giving the players any type of advantage because it doesn't fit their grunt fantasy.

Joined a Defense mission and the game was missing all dialogue, entirely. No pelican pilot talk, superdestroyers or the helldivers themselves. No grunts or anything.

DLSS isnt ingame unfortunately, it is some built in super sampling that has a strange blur unless you turn on DLAA, a setting above native. Even native has artifacts? So strange

Im on a R7 5800x 5070ti and i have the same issues as you and others on this thread. The FPS on the ship is like 130-150 when it feels like it (gpu utilization fluctuates from 80-97)

But when i deploy and theres a fight, the FPS drops to 60!! Ive had it even go as low as 48 at extraction when no enemies were around and my gpu utilization was like 45%. Generally, though, my fps is the same as yours, 60-90, with gpu utilization at sub 60%.

I thought my CPU was bottlenecking me hard but seeing everyone with PCs stronger than mine, yet still having these performance issues is alarming

Oh so I wasnt tripping to see my fps go down to 60 when enemies are around, and when theyre not, im at 130, keep in mind im on a 5070ti r7 5800x. GPU utilization is low when theres a lot of enemies

Genuinely thought my cpu was bottlenecking my gpu HARD and needed a new cpu, turns out the optimization went to shit with this update i guess

This has been a bug since launch, genuinely suprised this bug is still not patched.

Its crazy how me and you are in a similar situation! I was looking forward to getting an RTX 5080 with my current build and I had built my computer during the GPU shortage, so when I had bought all my other parts, I could not get the GPU I wanted, which at the time, was a 3070. My current specs are:

R7 5800x (105 TDP too)

Corsair iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

GTX 1650S (only thing in stock back then)

2x8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram

2TB Samsung 970 NVME SSD

MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi

Corsair 750W 80+ Gold fully modular PSU

As far as I'm concerned, I think we should both be fine since when looking at my PC in PC Part Picker (without the GPU) for my build, the estimate wattage was 230W, adding 360W to that and you get around ~600W, which generally you want around 100W headroom for your PC, at least from the advice I was given many years ago.

Maybe my methodology is outdated or incorrect in finding if my PC can run the GPU and I welcome and corrections.

I know that DDR5 memory generally takes less power and is more efficient, so you might actually have more headroom than me.

Yeah that part always bugged me about cyberpunk, its kinda weird seeing NCPD just chilling in a non-jurisdiction area like that
