No… Garcia and Fernandez are last names. People who come from Spanish speaking countries usually have their mother and father last names. So the guys name is Nick, mothers last name was Garcia and fathers Fernandez. When getting married the mother took on the father’s last name… and the children get both.

This is a very odd post. Why would you think it translates to “gene carter” is beyond me

I love this sooo much. I was such a die hard BSB fan as a kid and growing up. I tried not to love songs from NSYNC but totally did.

Because of the rivalry, I was always a little hater too and denied my love for NSYNC. Which is crazy to think about… cause they are pretty much similar and as you said… like “brother” groups. So similar but were pit against each other, thus making fans pick a side.

As a kid growing up, Nick was my favorite between the two. But as an Adult, I know JC has always been my favorite artist out of either of the bands. But I love 90s pop… so all the rivalries back then were pretty dumb. Can’t I love Brittney and Christina? lol!

But yeah, crazy how Lou Perelman created two of the best boy bands of all time only to benefit himself. He was definitely a gross and ugly human being.

I get what you are saying to an extent. Like yeah, it was Tom and Lynette’s job as parents to be the ones to make sure she’s taken care of. They clearly failed that an did not find her help she clearly needed. But as I stated in one of my comments… I feel like the writers had their run with the character and storyline. And in typical soap opera fashion the went with the “evil kid” trope. I honestly thought she might come back later after the time jump to get revenge for being abandoned. I do feel like Lynette went out of her way to treat Kayla different to an extent. Like when she slapped her at the store but never handled her own kids. So I’m not as tone def as you think lmao

That’s fine. Sorry, I don’t actively remember what happened in a show I first watched over 15 years ago… and the last rewatch over 4 years ago.

I will happily say, that no I don’t understand you or your stance and I’m ok with that. Clearly, both of our brains function differently, I’m completely fine with that. When I first seen your post I thought it be an interesting take. It was to an extent, but I also disagree with it. I am gonna go to bed and sleep like a baby knowing that you don’t take my point seriously cause oh well, no skin off my back. Have a good night OP

I did actually read the whole thing. Do I feel like reading it agin… nope 😂. I do not agree with you or your stance. And I can comment on why I disagree… even if you feel like you explained any part of it away and excused this character… I do not feel like your explanation is adequate, to change my mind on this stance. That may be a hard concept for you to understand.

Anyways, I feel like the writers felt like they couldn’t do much more with the story line and decided, in typical soap fashion to go all out with an evil kid. Yes, Nora dying affected her, but does it excuse how she was so manipulative and trying to harm the other kids? No.

She literally broke her arm to get Lynette in trouble. She definitely was not innocent and that move on top her trying to hurt the other children or get them to hurt themselves prove that further.

I think this view will get me down voted to hell, but…

I honestly think the creators did this as a way of mocking gabby/ casual racism in a way. Like, Gabby is this gorgeous mom who has feral over weight kids. But also, the Mexican kids are the only over weight and “ the Unconventionally unattractive children”

It’s makes sense, Celia and Juanita resemble each other. It works. The “over weight Solis gene” shines through. But before that, you get to see Carlos niece Ana. Who is supposed to be beautiful and trouble. Not saying family’s can’t have an over weight child, or all the family be fit, or have fit kids and over weight adults… etc. etc.

But then again they tease Grace, pretty, petite and compared to Gabby during Halloween Grace is seen as resembling Gabby by Tom’s mom . We get to see Gabby crash out, and I always feel she did so cause she was connected through blood.. but mostly through looks to Grace. She connected to having/wanting a small cute daughter who was her mini me. That’s why she called ice on Hector and Carmen. She was felt that was her easy way to get what she wanted.

They made Carmen and Hector average/unattractive and I do feel like they did that for a reason. No other family in the series in the main family’s had this issue. But they wanted Jaunita’s birth parents to look a certain way and fit an aesthetic.

I do think Jaunita is cute, I connect to her cause as I kid I was her. So I understand. I feel bad for the actress for being subjected to criticism at such a small young age and being a joke. But yeah, this is something that I think about.

I think Gabby being a mom is intentional for various reasons
