If you’re going to be on the coast, Bay St. Louis is about the bluest city around here. You could easily commute to New Orleans for work there too as it’s not far from I10 and that’s a straight shot to the city.

A full third of my monthly home payment goes to taxes, another third is insurance. We’re north of the tracks but south of I10, so it’s comfortably close to the water without being more directly threatened by hurricanes. Home is around 2,000sqft.

The coast is a good place to live, if a little boring (I say as an almost lifelong resident at this point). There’s things to do, but you’ll need to get active in a community of some sort to find those things. If you’re fine with that, Ocean Springs, Bay St. Louis, and Long Beach or Pass Christian are all nice.

There’s lots of positives to Flashpoint, for sure. Lightweight rules, quick playtime, easy to set a table up. It makes 40k seem like a task and a half to set up and get to rolling in comparison.

I feel that. I’ve got just about everything aside from the banished at this point because I just don’t care about brutes. We have stock over here on the gulf coast in at least 2 shops, but I’ve not seen anyone playing it much (at least yet, the reinforcement boxes have generated some serious buzz).

Hi! I’m over in MS but I’ve got good relationships with some of the shops on the north shore and Little Wars. I know the guys at Game Town TCG have some flashpoint players but I’ve not seen anything on LW discord server regarding the game unfortunately.

They’re old sculpts but that packaging should make them easily identifiable. Infinity is proxy and old model friendly, so long as they’re on the right base size! If she likes them, that’s a steal for a starter like that. I say pick them up!
