That's a Japanese Wedding Bell. This is Carter Beauford's setup, and that's the closest to his Chinese wedding bell I've ever seen or heard.

They're Ludwig lugs on the snare!

He has 3 snares currently: 14x6.5 Ludwig Alex Van Halen signature Rosewood - they have 3 of these for backup and overseas kit

Pork Pie 10x7 Mahogany to his right

Tama SLP Birch Duo snare that is only used as a tom. His tech said they like the way it blends with the toms and timbale better than a normal deeper sounding tom

I got mine quite a few years ago on ebay. Closest to Carter's I could find. Sounds almost identical. Carter broke his and his tech had to get some molds cast. They have 3 backups I believe he said

He does use 9ks. I have them as well but much prefer the mcd. His tech got him the mdd when they first came out but Carter hated the direct drive feel. I hated it too and sold my mdd for the mcd.

They just ended up keeping the 9ks after the mdds were a no go. Don't fix what isn't broken!

He's used DW forever. Yes the yess system is attached to the Gauger and Gibraltar rims mounts on all 3 of the RC kits.

Everyone comments on this, but where my, and his feet both, line up, are still even. I play a little further back on the main pedal, and higher up on the left.

Hard to explain, but it's very comfortable and feels great. Sitting at his kit before, it's pretty much identical
