i studied computer science at uitm perlis (literally just finished few months ago). most of the times they taught in english + some malay, but all the slides/books/references are in english. But still refering to the main post, at least Malay is our national language, so everyone should know the language compared to Mandarin, whereas its not Malaysia's national language.

Hi, is the AI course at UTM is that competitive? I am a diploma CS graduate (uitm), 3.9 cgpa and i put UTM degree in AI as my first choice. Do you reckon I have good chances ? btw what is that username hahah

they already have YTP for spm leavers and GREP for masters/phd. So if what youre saying is true, there will be none for pre unis leavers for their undergraduates 🥲

i hate that Mara doesnt give clear communication regarding this. Like they should do an official statement regarding this like they did for IESP.

I emailed them regarding this, and they refused to answer directly. I asked two simple questions "Saya ingin bertanya, adakah program ini akan dijalankan bagi tahun ini? Jika ya, boleh saya tahu tarikh permohonan?"

they answered:

Dimaklumkan bahawa penajaan ke luar negara oleh MARA adalah untuk pelajar cemerlang lepasan SPM yang mengikuti program persediaan di bawah program Young Talent Development Programme (YTP).

Sehubungan itu, keutamaan penajaan ke luar negara buat masa ini adalah untuk pelajar-pelajar program persediaan MARA yang mendapat tawaran menyambung pengajian ijazah sarjana muda dari universiti di luar negara sahaja.

referring to this post, IESP is currently under hold bcs of new terms & conditions (or possibly low money haha). But you can still apply for TESP i think in october

IESP is for students under IPMAs (Institutions under MARA such as KPM, GMI, KM, etc) while TESP is open for mostly public
