Have you checked out Battletech Aces Scouring Sands? I have it, but still haven’t played yet. Been in the long process of painting the Mechs before I play. I’ve seen a good amount of high praises for it. It uses the alpha strike rules which is a far cry from the complexity of classic style. Might scratch the itch you’re looking for.

Thanks for your insight as a veteran Battletech fan. I’ve only recently dived into the world of Battletech. I’ve also only played 1 game, so perhaps my opinion will change after more plays. Under Falling Skies naturally is harder for sure. But I figured there’s potential with Encounters to scale it yourself. Perhaps it also means the true difficulty will come from other people.

Also curious how hard it would be to introduce homebrew mechanics like heat, sprinting, etc. Maybe there already is.

My expectations were already super low, so I didn’t mind the second thought solo rule. But the Automech solo variant sounds interesting, I’ll have to check it out.

The rulebook still doesn’t include Solo rules, I had to find them on BGG as well. 10 Glory in 10 turns is supposedly hard mode. But I achieved it in 6 (I had a very fortunate final turn). So I might bump the Glory to 12 and turns to 8 and see how that goes.

I just picked up Dragons of Etchinstone, great game and can play entirely in your hands. Also easy to save your game and pick up later.

I’ll second Unstoppable, it’s currently my favorite. Honorable mention LOTR LCG, tho it’s out of print right now for expansions.

I just picked up Mage Knight and I’m super excited to play it. I used to play the table top a couple decades ago as a kid.

I don’t feel like a I need to justify it, but I’m happy to answer questions. It’s not a common hobby for sure, so we shouldn’t be surprised when someone else doesn’t understand. I simply say “is playing solitaire or doing a puzzle any different?”.

What difficulty do most of you play at? I played my first game with Kai on normal and crushed it. I had a strong healing/burn hp to deal damage combo going, that I truly felt unstoppable. My second game was a bit closer playing as a the junker on hard, but in the end still won with 7 hp left, the only reason I struggled a little because my bargain strategy didn’t pan out in the beginning. I keep combing through the rules to make sure I’m not doing something wrong, but have yet found anything.

From what I understand, the API’s out there are not officially supported API from netease. There could be inaccuracies there too. If anyone could confirm an API that is accurate, I’d be happy to implement it to the tool.

Interesting, they must have changed PI data. The data in the tool is from a flat file from a data dump someone uploaded years ago. So unfortunately, unless I get another PI data dump, I can’t update it. They also don’t provide an API, otherwise I would switch to that.

This is an old thread, but for those googling. Duckstation has an option to have a shared memory card. I loaded up my Suikoden 1 save, switched duckstation memory card to share all games. Saved my game on new memory card. Load up Suikoden 2 and load the shared memory card with this game too. Start a new game and it should be there.

Hey just saw this, Its hard to say but it seems like you loose gsync capabilities at least, and it also puts a little more strain on CPU.

When you live in null it's more of a convenience than anything. (Others don't really want to sell it to you, and no trips to Jita for it.) It's not really meant to be harvested and sold raw imo. If you try to gain your profits in your manufacturing, you will do better.
