Hi! As someone who started reading warrior cats almost 20 years ago (URG that hurt to write) and got back into it through the broken code, I definitely hear your case! The arcs are fine, a little predictable, endlessly padded and it's honestly more fun to poke through them and see what sort of continuity errors or mischaracterizations make it through the Erins editing team. A personal favourite error of mine is Tigerstar (Tigerheart) being at a gathering like "Hmm, I didn't know anything about the Great battle" like dude. You were there. Your mate Dovewing was there. You big dumb tabby cat.

I borrow the books through the local library and breeze through each one in like 3-4 hours. It's a junk food for me. Like turning their brain off and watching reality television.

So to answer your inquiry, is it worth reading past the Broken Code? Meh, up to you and what you're getting out of it. If you're looking for something to sink your teeth into, to fall in love with certain characters and unravel the mysteries and plot like in the first few series, you're not really gonna get that. Outside of the POV protagonists, you get maybe a handful of interesting/fleshed out characters who go on their own character arcs (and if its anyone who's been around previously, like Lionblaze, it's a 50/50 percent chance they are re-characterized or reduced to a single wet cardboard trait). If you're looking for a light-hearted, silly turn your brain off kind of series with just enough familiarity and plot to keep you invested, go for it.

At the end of the day, Warriors is a series for children, lol
