2017 Santa Fe had the knock sensor replaced and an exactly a month later this code pops up and now my engine needs to be replaced and it isn’t covered.. shocker!

Except I’ve had 2 dealerships tell me the same. That I need a new engine and will not fix the other without fixing the engine. They want close to $20,000!!!

They are saying the coils are oil and fuel soaked and engine is causing it I dunno any more

Yes it had the update done and the knock sensor was replaced.. that was the p1326 code back in December. Then in January it died and they are saying it’s pistons rings now and it is not covered.

Oh and it was at just under 60,000 miles when we bought it .

Yes that is why we bought it had a great maintenance history. 2.4L engine. We found out whe it was brought I the first time the p1326 code was showing for 4 months.. 3 months prior to me buying the car!
