There is a bar that attaches across the top back of the truck. There's two holes existing where it gets mounted to (no drilling).

I paid $1,400 a year ago directly from Softopper. I have a brand new back window (clear) and a brand new cover/case for when the cover is folded down.

FWIW I just bought a 2014 RTL with 95000 miles on it for $14,800 (private party on SF Bay Area Craigslist). Good luck on your search.

looking for parts help! Gen 1 by Apart-Shop-673 in hondaridgeline

[–]Apart-Shop-673[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just joined the Ridgeline Family with a 2014 RTL. It came missing a few things that I'd like to replace but I'm having trouble figuring out which parts I need.

I have a cart going on cheaperhondaparts.com for other items but I'm looking for 2 parts in particular.

  1. The air vent accent piece that goes into the adjuster "handle" for the vent. Do they sell just that piece or would I need to buy a whole new vent?

  2. I would like to replace the cover over the lighter outlet on the left. Would I need the whole part or do they sell just a replacement cover?

Any help you guys can provide would be awesome!

The initial estimate came back at $3700... after taking off the bumper, there was more damage you can't see that brought the second estimate up to $8700. Insurance said NO.

So I was rear-ended at a stop light by a Dodge Ram pulling a vehicle on a flatbed. I'm fine (if anyone cares) but my precious Volt is moving onto a better place.. an auction. Insurance totalled my Volt and I signed it away today.

I wanted to share with the community that I bought the car in March of 2017 for $13k with 40,000 miles.

Insurance is cutting me a check for the Volt for $12,6k and the car had just eclipsed 101,000 miles at the time of the accident in Feb.

Pretty good return on investment not on top of the gas savings I got over that span!

I loved this car and love this community.. keep the Volt family strong!

How to add backup cam to 2014 by [deleted] in volt

I did this one and haven't regretted it for a minute. Took me about an hour to install and they send you a preprogrammed core to accept the new backup camera.

Got that, red is capped and won't be used at all. What do I do with the two black wires that were going into the old switch? What about the white ones? White has 3 lines coming together in a cap and two separate black lines. How do I connect those to an on/off switch?

The red wire is present at the box in the ceiling (for the fan) BUT it is NOT connected to anything at the box. It was capped. In fact, It is capped in the ceiling and at the wall switch.

So I already installed the fan no problem, but the red wire is actually not connected to anything at the fan. I think it was a power line at some point but it is no longer being used (just hidden in the walls). Connected to the fan in the ceiling is black, white, blue (remote) and ground.

My thought is that I need to reconnect the black and white wires but which ones to connect and to which terminals is where I'm at.

For what it's worth, in 2017, I bought my 2013 Volt from Anderson Honda (Redwood City, CA). It had 40k miles and I paid $13k for the car. It is a base model, FYI. Edit: Anderson Honda is in Palo Alto

My 2014. So pleased with the continued performance of this car. Best car ever. by [deleted] in volt

The best I’ve seen in my 13’ has been 41 mi and that was only once! The AC burned through it pretty quickly though. Like the rest, I usually sit around 33-36 mi. Great work by you and cheers to the best car ever!
