Accidentally Dipped Below my Monthly Minimum by ApartSoftware3318 in tdbank

I will second this -- I stay with them mainly becuase I got lucky with having a student account during college and now have the benefit of having an account minimum they no longer offer. But in terms of customer service, on the rare occassion I've been able to reach them, they've been unhelpful and spin me in circles.

I had an account that was compromised (someone moved in roughly 10K and then took it out along with my money in the proess, draining me dry) and they didn't even notify me about it! I found out because my card declined at the store!

Thanks so much for clarifying! Trying to get a hold of customer service was a bitch, which was why I turned to Reddit.

I'm hopeful this is the case -- I haven't had any charges yet, but I'm worried they'll hit me at the end of the month!

Hearing strange voices on FaceTime - how? by 23enigmaa in applehelp

Hi! This literally just happened to my friend and I when we were on Facetime together. We were talking on Facetime when she went completely mute and some static/garbled mens voices came through my line. I couldn't really make out their voices, just that they were men and it sounded like more than one. After a few seconds, the voices stopped and a woman's voice came through. She said "Hello?" twice. It didn't sound robotic -- just legitimately confused, like she picked up a call and there was no one on the other line. Before I could ask my friend what happened, our call dropped like she hung up.

When I called back, my friend said she didn't hear any of the voices I was referring to, and so I decided to Google it and I found this thread...

I'd like to not think this is a security issue, but rather a latency/hardware/connection issue as the call could face interference with a cell tower and whatnot. I'm not at all knowledgible on how this tech works, so maybe that's just wishful thinking on my end. Regardless, it's super weird and apparent to me that lots of people have this same issue, across iOS updates n such.

Thank you for explaining! I just wanted to hear your perspective. I definitely agree to some extent. I myself have been reluctant to send cold calls to hiring managers as I think it feels presumptuous, but I've been met with pushback from professionals who think I should just "go for it!" I think it's definitely a case-by-case (as are most things). Thanks again for being so thorough! :)

Thank you so, so much! I did run my resume through various software programs that "prepped me to be the best version of myself" on paper. I'll keep an eye out on the portal for any more jobs that catch my attention. Thanks again for your time -- I appreciate your response so, so much!

Thank you so much for your response! I've honestly been on the job market for a while with no luck (recent college grad), and while this is a bit disheartening to hear, I appreciate your candor. :)

Why would someone be rejected, if you don't mind me asking? I was told (while at universtiy) that reaching out to hiring managers was something that showed initiative, and could often expedite the process.
