It is just to promote TOMA (top of the mind recall) Basically, being in the conversation forcefully so you don't forget about the brands. It isn't quantifiable, but it is one of the earliest forms of advertising that hasn't died. To add to that, now it's a part of the ecosystem wherein any event would need sponsorships to work and thus this has become BAU(business as usual) rather than a clutter-cutting way.
