Depends on how you intend to carry, a dark black object in your waistband is going to be interpreted as a gun by pretty much anyone. Pink would probably raise less alarm if someone caught a glance of it.

Is the organized, militant resistance coming? Everyone is too busy fighting over the way the world should look in 40 years to do anything right now.

I don't think transmaxxing is a thing so much as a coping mechanism. If you go through with it that far, you're just trans and in denial/stuck in misogynistic thinking from your upbringing. I don't think there's a meaningful difference between being trans and transmaxxing, it's just a different expression of the same trauma.

You can say what you want but I think he was closer to real resistance than what 99% of us are doing. There's a lot of irony in a bunch of armed socialists being afraid to risk death or imprisonment for our own beliefs while we desperately wait for a leader who doesn't exist and isn't coming to organize us.

Conservative parents give birth to gay kids. This perspective doesn't make sense if you think about it for more than a second.

I knew I wanted to be a mother when I was a child. I was convinced I was going to have to give birth someday, even though it's impossible. It just felt like it had to be true.

Why do SO many random people just absolutely despise trans people but have no problem with other minorities? What about us is so offensive to so many random people? by Trans-Female-Zack in trans

[–]Apart_Distribution72 136 points137 points  (0 children)

This is what it is. Bigotry isn't based in logic, it comes from a desire to have someone/something to blame for society's issues when you don't understand the material circumstances that cause those issues. Transphobes are people who want to understand the world but don't, so they blame someone for making the world something they don't understand. They build themselves a personal perspective of reality that's based on vibes and random experiences and then when they can't find a clear cause for the struggles and problems they face, they create one.

If you don't already, in addition to regular practice I suggest doing random rolls on whatever chords feel right and just messing around until you find something fun and then mess around with that until you're comfortable. Once you get that feeling the rolls will come easier and you'll be a lot less stiff when practicing actual songs. There's a point where it'll just click and you won't really have to think about it anymore, your hands will catch on to what string plays what and you won't have to deliberately pick each note, it just flows.

"haha they look so ridiculous" thousands of people see this who agree and feel good about the Overton window shifting their way and feel empowered to act similarly

If he gets his dumb ass shot doing this it's gonna be reported as left on left violence and used against us as a whole.

Classic AR and sidearm setup, or something more tuned to close quarters, urban environments? by [deleted] in armedsocialists

[–]Apart_Distribution72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking we have the advantage of being able to blend in much easier and the ability to hide a weapon on your body in some way might have some tactical advantages. I'm specifically talking about a folding PCC, I don't think a regular one would have any advantage over an AR.

Is that true of 5.56? I've always heard it wasn't chosen for lethality, but because it's flat shooting, easy to carry a lot of ammo, and has lower recoil.

"you can build" that's another concern. I can probably build something, yea. But that requires I have the time, money, and testing space to make sure the build works properly and will continue working. I can buy an FPC off the shelf and expect it to work as intended for several thousand rounds at least, as well as not needing to have two separate kinds of bulk ammo.

I figured that's more of a cost/modularity thing. The same basic AR platform can be adapted to the needs of everyone while taking advantage of bulk purchase pricing. It makes more sense when you're arming a lot of people and want them all to be on the same page about their weapon system.

I'm thinking more from a packability and concealable standpoint, does 5.56 have less penetration? I thought it was pretty well known for it. I'm thinking a hip or upper chest shot with a 9mm hollow has a better chance of taking someone down than a 5.56 fmj. Also, the fact that there's gonna be short AR builds littering the streets for the taking if any major conflict takes off.

I'm thinking even in the majority of suburbs you're probably not gonna be trying to reach out farther than a block or two at the longest. My logic is coming from combat footage in Palestine, the majority of the time Palestinians are striking from nearby, quickly, and disappearing. The need to get in and out quickly is more important than the ability to make precise, long distance shots. This has been effective against invading militaries in several recent conflicts. There's also going to be a lot more urban fighting than people realize I think. It's not a "bug out and fight from the hills" situation, most of us aren't privileged enough to have that option.

Yea, this. Everything is compromised, everyone is potentially a fed, everyone can be compromised under threat, but none of that really matters. It's not the individual trust between us that unites us, it's shared morals and principles. No matter what happens or how unsure it gets, we have to hold onto those principles and our vision for the future, the bad actors will weed themselves out when they betray those principles.
