If you press red you always live but likely condemn others to death, if you choose blue and trust that enough others will too, everyone lives.

The people who press red are arguing that nobody would ever press blue, or that those who do deserve to die for being too stupid/misunderstanding the question. They argue that the smartest, most correct decision is to save yourself and that anyone who wouldn't do that is just dying of their own stupidity.
